Just as nature abhors a vacuum, the Internet abhors secrets. Hyundai got so close to keeping its i-oniq concept coupe away from us before the Geneva Motor Show, but the web won again when someone uploaded images of ithe i-oniq's blood red interior and McLaren MP4-12C-like doors.

We don't have any hard information except that the car hints at future Hyundai styling elements and is a hybrid with a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder gas engine. Stay tuned for details from the Geneva floor in the coming days.

      from what i can see from the fotos the inside looks strange---the outside does not look like a 3 banger it looks more like it should be a turbo 4 or 6

      McLaren ripoff with an intensely boring rear end.

      Let the haters hate. As I said before, if this was from a European brand, people would be all over it. Proof that Hyundai and Kia are on the move.

        If this was from a European brand, I'd say Renaults are still getting ugly and they need to throw away that cheap billet grille. I'd also say the rear end is ambiguous and looks like hyundai made it.

          That's the best you can do? The rear end is "ambiguous"? Wow. That's some serious digging, there.

      Looks like a cross between a McLaren MP4-12C and a Toyota FT-86.

      Ugh... reading these comments here (and not just this article but for pretty much any article about concept vehicles that Autoblog puts out) makes me wish there was a section of Autoblog dedicated only to design, and only people with a legitimate design background are allowed to comment. Seriously, one thing I realized after joining Autoblog is that most people who try to critique new cars and concepts don't know S**T about automobile design! Either that or people just have this bias toward anything Hyundai/Kia but reading these comments is like listening to a 5 year old trying to critique art. Oh and btw, the quality of those pictures absolutely suck. Were they shot on a camera phone?

        @MotionDesigner
        I assume that auto makers aren't out to sell to people with a background in design, so the opinions of the "great unwashed" are far more important to them than the informed musings of designers. I agree with the photo quality though.

      I dunno. I'm totally not feeling all the "e-tron" looking grills that they put on these concept cars.

      I'm honestly not the biggest proponent of Hyundai's styling, but this looks to be a step backward. Compared to the current complex sheetmetal this is kinda...boring.
