We're taking the show on the road again, stopping at locations all over the UK and Europe. We start in Surrey, England to drive a prototype of the Lightning GT electric supercar. Featuring a twin-motor RWD system and advanced lithium-titanate batteries, this GT EV hopes to capture lightning in a bottle with specs that will strike fear into performance-electric manufacturers the world over.

      What makes a performance oriented car a supercar? I am not sure 0-60 in 4.5 makes a super car. With that definition, a Tesla Model S is even better of a super car at 0-60 in 4.4 sec. In Europe, electrics could take off because of the carbon limits on manufacturers. This ain't no supercar.

      Great report. I was wondering if these guys were ever going to produce this car. It's certainly beautiful, but their market may disappear once Tesla Model S hit the streets in June/July. One correction: At 2:48, it's AltairNano, not AltaiMano. That company is not doing too great & may end up like Ener1. Lightning should have picked Panasonic (Tesla) or LG Chem (Volt) for the cells.

        I would choose A123 if they would actually sell their cells. which is bizarre just saying it. the ******* idiots refuse to sell their cells. and they are doing badly financially. the two may be related..
