We've gotten various peeks at the Mercedes-Benz A-Class for a few months now, from the patent drawings to spy shots to QR-coded teasers. Then, of all things in all places, a cyclist with a handlebar-mounted camera gets a full-on shot of the real deal while riding in Lanzarote, Spain for what we assume is a photo or video shoot.

If you liked the look of the patent drawings, then you'll be happy with the glimpse here. It even looks close enough to the Concept A for us to give Mercedes props for truth-in-concept-car designing. There's debate as to whether this is the AMG A-Class, but regardless, the final version will be shown at next month's Geneva Motor Show. Until then, watch the video after the jump.

I love the fact that he is on a bike, and that the production guy waves to him like it's no biggie lol.

Korean, Japanese(, and Chinese) automakers have been copying German desings for ages and that hasn't changed. Lexus was nothing but a shameless Benz ripoff, the Equus is no better and on and on... It's funny and sad that you think the Germans are the copycats.

there are only two models i'm not fond of yet: the new SLs face and the new ML...the rest is still pretty decent. let's hope this gordon wagener doesn't mess up their heritage too much.

Huyndai styling is basically the fluid design Infiniti has been using but taken one step towards 'melted cheese'

Anyone who gets this beigemobile over a BMW 1M or an A3 needs to have their brain checked.

a 1m is hardly a competitor and there is just one thing to say: tastes differ it seems

Yet another overstyled vehicle from Mercedes Benz. This has enough "styling" for two different cars. Yuck.

looks MUCH nicer than that ugly new 1-series BMW just introduced.....but not nearly as nice as the A3.

Honestly, that looks very nice. One of the biggest visual updates from last version to the next one i have ever seen. The old A-class was rubbish, still there where plenty of people buying it here in Finland with a insane price after you updated couple of things. This has potential to especially eat BMW 1-series sales.

Its just going to be a crappy FWD heap with the typical 800lbs of added weight for that "mercedes feel" and be over priced by about $20,000 like every other Benz. But then again, the clueless Chinese and Iranian dummies will buy them and think they are ballers LOL

I have a great job and can afford "a new mb". I go about it logically though and buy the most that my dollar getsme. Right now, there are plenty of vehicles with the same specs, content and some with more power for less. So why would I buy this mb POS unless I was trying to appear to be someone that I am not? Especially an A, B or C class. They are wanna-be baller / poser cars. End of story
