When is a Nissan Juke not a Nissan Juke? When it's the 480-horsepower, Godzilla-powered Juke-R, that's when. Then it's a supercar-beater. And to prove the point, Nissan UK took its one-off super-crossover down to Dubai for a little street racing action.

So what did Nissan pit its Juke-R against? No, not other crossovers, but a pack of the leanest, meanest supercars on the market: the Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. We first saw video footage shot from the sidelines a couple of weeks ago, but since the publicity stunt proved so popular, Nissan responded by releasing an official, high-quality version, complete with in-car footage and plenty of tire squealing. Follow the jump to check it out.

Whoodathunkit? I never would have thought that a near 500HP crossover would be fast.

From reading the comments here, the Juke-R may be one of the most polarizing cars on Autoblog. Probably because it's fast car that happens to be foreign-made with contraversial styling.

I don't know if those other guys were sandbagging, but that guy driving the Juke R was driving the hell out of it. Great fun!

I kept throwing my money at the screen but nothing happened!! Seriously, Nissan needs to get on getting this chassis into rally. Nothing has convinced more more of this than watching it tool around those corners. And while your at it, make a performance model!

Surely a great show, but I think a well tuned basic-modded evo might have faired almost as well due to the AWD in general...anyhow, I'd llike to see this thing on a proper road course running timed laps against a GTR and some other machinery in a more organized fashion. Looks great though being driven aggressively.

Okay. But the question is, how much would this bad boy go for? I am scared to ask. Is that why the GTR shot up in price, so that the Juke-R could be priced in the 70s?

I really don't get this Juke R business. It seems like a waste of time to me. So what it can beat supercars? Who would buy it, and why would anyone care? I share the same sentiment that many on here do. Quit bastardizing the GTR by Frankensteining it's parts into lesser Nissans.

And this video is totally bogus and obviously meant as a biased publicity stunt by Nissan. Although I can't quite understand what they're hoping to achieve.

Yaaaaaaaaay. Another Juke R story. This thing should be cast off a cliff like a malformed spartan baby.
