Facebook has rapidly emerged as one of the most visited websites on the internet. So it only makes sense that automakers would launch their new cars there, right?

Audi evidently thinks so. And so it has launched a new special edition U.S. model of its sexy S5 coupe on the popular social media site. The model is characterized by a unique shade of dark silver, special five-spoke wheels, a two-tone white and black leather interior, and of course, special badging.

Only 125 examples will be offered, though specific pricing parameters have not been immediately revealed.

Top comments seem to be about the wheels... On this S5 special edition the wheel/tire size is 255/35R19, I have them on my A5 as part of the titanium package. If you compare the offset of the spokes and the width of the tires on the S5 vs. the A1/S1 it looks like the tire width on the A1 is a 225 or 235 width at most. Yeah they look similar, but they are not the same.

I find it funny that the bottom of Audi's line up A1 is pictured with the same wheels as this "special" edition S5 two posts above.. Fan boys can vote me down but what a joke, Audi/VW is such a parts bin company, albeit nice parts. BMW doesn't put 7 series wheels on 1 series, hell, Volvo doesn't even put S80 wheels on S40s.

Dude what the hell are you talking about.......... You can get the a 7 series with the same wheels that come on a 5 series..... hell you can get a s65 amy with the same 5 star wheels that come on the c63 amg........ All companies do it, but when audi does it it instantly means they aren't premium

You didn't prove your point, going from a 5 series to a 7 is not a big jump, read what I said, a 1 series to 7 is the equivalent of Audi putting the wheels on an A1 on an S5.

wow, gray paint and wheels I've seen on other Audis for a what is sure to do be a large mark up. Luckily for automakers there are people willing to donate their money to them for these kinds of limited editions.

Audi actually typically reduces the price of their "special edition". I would gather the same will follow for the S5 Coupe

My wife has exactly those "special" wheels on her Passat. You can get them from VW DriverGear if not installed at the factory. And a now a 14th different shade of grey/stone/silver. That is so very special. But of course, given that the people who buy these things only pay about 15% of their income in federal taxes, like every other luxury trinket with "limited" on it, they will sell faster than the Nieman Marcus Camaro.

This has the same wheels as the q1? How do you know? You aren't implying that two sets of wheels must be the same if they look similar, are you? I guess all 5 spoke wheels are the same. It's not like they can be made of different materials or constructed in different ways, like one piece or multiple, lightweight or cheap and heavy... Oh, wait... Similar=/=same.

Way too expensive considering what it comes and the fact there is nothing really exclusive being offered on this model is a shame. Audi needs to respect this model.

I think your comment is a bit misdirected seeing how I own a 2012 Audi S5 and everything about the special edition can be had - There is nothing exclusive.

Did they post pricing? Audi's Special Edition typically sees a cost reduction, not an increase. It's all about the subtly

Okay, I know its an Audi, I like most Audis, why don't I like this car? Has to be because something about the 5 makes me think about the 2nd generation Sebring Coupe.
