The Acura NSX Concept was only just unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show and here it's already in a Gran Turismo 5 video. The newest take on an ecological supercar features Honda's recently pointy concept-design language, as well as a V6 amidships getting help from three hybrid motors and Acura's SH-AWD.

The real thing has been promised three years hence, but if this stab at it does get to production, we have no doubt we'll be seeing a lot more of it before then. The next phase in the NSX-fest begins after the jump, with two minutes of the supercoupe on an angry run through GT5 vistas.

I just saw a beautiful original NSX on the road the other day. It was so different looking than every other car around it. I had forgotten how low the roof and beltline is on them. But I love this new one, too.

clearly a take on an Audi R8. The only thing that I cannot catch are those tailights, anyone knows which car has a similar tailight design?

car looks good by the way, just not liking the front design language by Acura this days.

Its uninspiring at best. The overly complicated and unnecessary nature of having generators, battery packs and electric motors, on a pure sports car will make any hard core practical enthusiast run far away. I want to change suspension settings, oh wait let me recalibrate the 5 computers controlling each wheel . Its just so over the top that these companies are losing sight of the fact that hard core sports cars are a niche and go against all your corporate vision of green cars. Embrace it and stop trying to sugar coat it will all the fluff. Just because you have an electric motor, batteries, does not make it green. In fact it probably is more wasteful to produce than a normal vehicle.

Progress is always "overly complicated" to some.

Aston Martin called: They want the One-77's tail lights back. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing this on the street, possibly with a lighter, simpler drivetrain.

yea, who ever came up with the Acura design language really needs to be FIRED (John Ikeda?)! Seriously, I'd take any 90's era Acura (Legend, NSX, Vigor, and even an Integra) over anything they come out with today.

The beak is much more toned down and classier since it first debuted on the TL. And far better than the massive gaping maw (complete with black plastic in between) many other companies are falling prey to. Evo X, Sonata Turbo, Veloster, Genesis, Charger SRT8, Mazda3, Mazda5, etc.

Considering how crappy te engine sounds are in GT5, I'm guessing the engine noises were dubbed in for the video. And damn, the old NSX looks so much sexier!
