Turn 10 released the December IGN pack for Forza Motorsport 4 last week, complete with a laundry-list of drool-worthy digital rides for your racing enjoyment. Those start with the beastly Suzuki Monster Sport SX4 Hill Climb Special, which is the same machine that broke the ten-minute barrier at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb this year.

As juicy as that is, we're more stoked to get our hands on hardware like the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, the '77 Escort RS1800 and the '88 Pontiac Fiero GT. Volkswagen fans will be happy to see the addition of the '81 Scirocco S, too.

The December pack is available through XBox Live and features 10 new vehicles for the game to collect, race or paint to your heart's desire. Hit the jump to check out a video of the new cars (and trucks) in action and head over to the Forza Site for more information.

        Why are people downvoting that? It's completely true. GT has sucked since 4.

      The Forza car list keeps growing. What was that other racing game? Gran tur... Hmm.. I'm forgetting it's name... The GT5 developers really need to wake up and start releasing new cars, or Forza will leave them in the dust.

        The last Gran Turismo 5 DLC was pretty lame. It included 2 new tracks and some unexciting cars like a Toyota Prius Touring. I wish they would include some cars that people actually want like the 2013 BMW M5, Lamborghini Aventador and others. Apparently Polyphony Digital is going to be releasing new GT5 DLC every 2 months. Let's hope that the next update is more substantial...

        If you think there's some kind of vehicle gap here you have a screw loose. GT5 has far more cars. You can't even drive a Mazdaspeed 6 in Forza 4. How about a Genesis Coupe with a 2.0T? Nope. It has about 5 Subarus, a Legacy 2.0, Legacy B4 2.5 and 3 WRXes. No SVX. I don't think it even has a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Forza 4 has a lot going for it, but selection of cars isn't one of those things.

          They don't look terrible. They do look like GT4 cars which isn't too bad. They do have no interior, but I don't race with the interior in view anyway. I'm here to race cars, not look at them. And of the cars I mentioned, several aren't even in GT5 at all. I think of those that I mentioned that are there, only the Mazdaspeed 6 is premium. So really you say Forza is the bees knees when it comes to selection? Did you do the manufacturer races? Try the US selection. You'll cry at how poor the selection is. I guess if you like racing muscle cars you'll be thrilled. But if you want to race anything more modern, you're likely boned.

          I'm pretty sure there are at least 2 Eclipses in Forza 4. I mean, if that's your kind of thing. I haven't played much of GT5 at all, as it was a disappointment, but are the Syclone/Typhoon in that game?

      Other than the Maserati 300S, I see no reason why they shouldn't of just included these in the game. Nothing special about those other cars that's going to make me want to spend more money for. The raptor is nice, but it would've been better if there were dirt tracks in the game.

        You can buy only one car, you are not required to purchase the packs. They weren't included in the game because they didn't have the time to make them in time. Were seeing a lot of cars that didn't make the launch cut right now. Soon we will be seeing more exotic and over the top cars in the coming months.

          That's a very naive way of thinking Jason. With the video game world built around DLC nowadays, i'd bet my bottom dollar that most of the DLC cars that have been offered so far have been done before the game was released. There's no way Turn 10 would include every car they had done in the initial release and miss out on those big bucks from DLC.

          I agree with you AiDub. Jason, that is a very naive way of thinking. Especially when you just sit back and take a look at Xbox Live in it's entirety. Everything from the ridiculous pricing for all the little avatar crap to backgrounds, to online-movie rentals. Microsoft is cashing in big time right now and they are exploiting Xbox live as their cash machine. Just look at the whole recent update to the dashboard. It's primarily centered on subscriptions & just ******* as much money as they can from their customers. I understand it's a business and all, but it's gotten to a point where they are taking away from the user experience.

          While I love Forza, it's obvious that they could've done more at launch. A good portion of the cars from the start were just carry-over from Forza 3. That **** kinda bummed me out. I do like that they offer each car individually though. Still the best driving sim that I've played to date.

      Really makes me want to ditch GT5, is the G27 compatible with a Forza?

        @Devin Christiansen
        No, Microsoft does not allow non-licensed peripherals (i.e. those who didn't pay fees) to work on 360. You can use your G27 pedals with a Fanatec wheel with a (free) adapter cable though. But you'll have to buy a $300 Fanatec wheel first.

          Whoa Jason... Back track a bit. What you mean to say is best wheels FOR THE MONEY. Logitechs are good but they certainly aren't the best. They're just more mainstream.

          @AiDub The G27, at over $300, is hardly mainstream...It is for the money one of the best wheels on the market.

          @Rotation
          Logitech as a brand is much more mainstream than say, Thrustmaster, TSW, or Fanatec. $300 for a decent wheel is still not that much. There are rigs out there that can get to upwards of $1,000 or more. The G27 is certainly not the end all be all and is very accessible to just about everyone.

          Funny how Micro$oft doesn't allow some of the best wheels made (Logitech) to work on their systems. I don't feel the need to purchase yet another wheel just to play Forza, so it's not on my must-purchase list at the moment.

          AiDub: I know what you're trying to say, but you didn't really say it well. The wheels that are noticeably better than a G25/G27 really should be considered a different class. Fanatec alone charges almost as much for just their pedals (the set that is better than Logitech's) as Logitech does for their whole setup. And Fanatec isn't even really one of the super high end setups (although they keep getting closer).

      its sad that forza gets the ford raptor as a drivable car is the game and the only thing we got from GT5 is the redbull f1 concept car i think ill be cheating on GT5 tonight with FORZA

        Actually, GT5 got a pack of race modified cars, All of which drive fantastic. Forza 4 got a pack of cars known more for image than performance, none of which fit into the game's setting. The raptor is painfully dull to drive, and the Suzuki monster is classed too high to compete with anything. The only 2 good cars in the pack are the Maserati MC GT4, and the Fiero. The rest, Scirocco especially, are horrid.

          I agree. Forza has enough race cars. The computer AI is so aggressive in the R1/R2 cars already that it's not very run to run those races. I want more normal cars. A Hyundai Genesis coupe with 2.0T would be a great start.

          There is no need for MORE race cars in Forza. There are too many as it is. I prefer the average daily driver-type vehicles. That was one of the aspects of GT that I loved so much. The availability of BASIC ASS CARS. I can't be the only one that wants to flog an Econoline around the Nurburgring...

          So you're punishing the makers of Forza for not having Porsches even though it was a competitor that took those cars away? That's not Microsoft of Turn 10's fault... Besides... They have RUF... It's a Porsche.

          Put Porsches back in the game and then "maybe" I'll consider buying Forza 4. This is the only Forza I refuse to buy even though I love the game due to this BS. Way to go EA, screw your customers because you can't compete with Forza since Need for Speed sucks so bad.

          It's light on variety because it doesn't have night racing, wet racing, anything like that. No special conditions racing at all. There's no endurance racing. You never have to enter the pits ever (if you do, you're likely losing the race). There's no simulation of fuel usage at all, and the tire wear is so minimal that you won't notice any changes in even the longest races it has (15 minutes). If you worked your way up to level 150 you might also wish that there was a bit more variety in the racing, instead of just the same tracks over and over under the same conditions. I'd like Porsches, but I'm not holding the lack of them against Forza. And for the record, I drove all the modern GT-Rs in the game. You kind of have to when doing all the Japanese manufacturer races. There are just too many races, it gets boring if you don't spread out your car selection by switching it up.

      I really liked t his DLC. I like the inclusion of a lot of everyman fun cars like the Scirocco, Alfa Spider, MkII Escort and Fiero. And the Maserati 300S is heaven. It goes well the the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Aston Martin DBR1, and Jaguar D-Type that are already in the game. Someone at Turn 10 really loves their late-'50s sports-racers, and I approve. It makes EA's decision to withhold Porsche even more frustrating as the 550RSK was another great one in this set.
