The end of the Nissan Juke-R build has come and gone. The vehicle is done. Only a lucky few were there when the 485-horsepower twin-turbo V6 borrowed from a Nissan GT-R cleared its throat for the first time. The thrills and high-fives, that wave of adrenaline that buoys dog-tired men, and the long minutes of standing around and grinning at your project as it burbles away is a private moment that only the builders can fully appreciate.

Respecting the space of the Juke-R build team doesn't mean we don't want to examine this evil little mutant closely. Nissan UK knows this, and has thrown us all a bone with 11 new pictures and three videos of the Juke-R, one with audio of the revving engine. The ultimate payoff will be the figures from performance testing, which we expect to see soon.

Using an online performance-stat calculator, we first plugged the stats of a normal Juke, deciding to go with the heaviest curb weight of 3,200 lbs, and the numbers it spat back, 7.6 seconds from zero to 60 mph and a 15.93-second quarter mile, dovetail pretty well with what car magazines have gotten, though the glossy print guys are a bit faster.

Taking that same 3,200 lb weight (though we don't know whether the Juke-R is lighter or heavier than a standard Juke) and going for 485 hp returns a predicted 3.6 second 0-60 run and a quarter mile that gets scorched in 11.44 seconds with a 124 mph trap speed. We could live with that. We've added the new images to our gallery, and you can check out the videos posted after the jump.

You can't just use a performance calculator to figure this vehicle's numbers, because if you use that same calculator on the GTR then it would return LESS than realistic numbers.

WTF, seriously? This car exists? Wow. This is a joke, right? The Nissan Joke-R. Take a girl car and turn it into a girl car that girls don't want to drive. Good call, Nissan. Take an already mundane, borderline ugly car (The GT-R) and manage to fit it into an even more pathetic package. It's hideous. What did one of you guys say? "Sexy beast"? Neither of the words in that phrase apply to this car. Who cares what's under the hood? You can drop a crate motor into a Ford Pinto and wrap it in flat black - who gives a crap? It's an ugly piece of crap, and even if you argue that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" (I don't; this car is objectively terrible-looking for a sports car), you're driving around a car that ferries 16 year old girls to the mall, only with a powertrain swap. Listen to the name for godsake, it sounds like a phone made by Motorola. The "Juke" - really? Wow. And this is coming from a girl. If any of you douches buys one of these, you can hand me your man card.

The Juke is about as girly as a 2002 Impreza. Show me one pic of a "non-conformist emo teenaged girl" driving it to the mall to buy fingerless gloves on sale at Hot Topic, and then maybe I'll believe you that the Juke is girly and that I should give you my man card.

A woman will never EVER be in a position to demand a mans mancard. Ever.

You can park it next to your Mazda Miata and VW Beetle. Jeezus people. Nissan Juke-R.

Someone really needs to get laid. Relax, this is just a cool project. And It's not even a production car genius, so none of us "douches" could buy one if we wanted.

Right, well, first of all, yeah clearly someone does. So maybe if you buy a real man's car, you will get laid. Cool project? Yeah, sure man. Up there along with those guys that modify a couch to go 40 mph. Yes I know it's not a production car, that's pretty well-stated. I'm referring to the d-bags that are saying like "SIGN ME UP!" (for castration)

You might be manipulated by the notions of society, but a well handling car like the Miata shouldn't be ignored.

I totally relate to your frustration, and entirely agreed on the GTR and Juke styling views, but i wouldnt say its a girls car, it is however hideous, and I also dont see what is the point of this project. 4x4 mods are stupid period!

If the Juke is a girly car for 16 year olds, I'd love to see what you think of cars like the first gen New Beetle convertible.

Yeah clearly you have an affinity for girly cars. The fact that you actually think it's not a girly car with such matter-of-fact conviction actually made me pause for a moment to think that you're just being really sarcastic right now.

@Lacey You are clearly not a feminist, with your strictly defined gender stereotypes. This is a girly car that men can't be interested in? Silly woman, get back to the kitchen and make me a drink. Oh, you want to be a doctor? Isn't that cute. Sorry, but that is a man's profession. Maybe you can be a part-time nurse while the kids are in school. Any woman who wants to work in a man's profession is clearly a closeted lesbian, only butches and dykes would want to do that.

i didn't think it was possible to make THE ugliest car on the road even uglier...but Nissan, THE KINGS OF UGLY, have surely done it. The Juke is a total joke of a car already, and this is an attempt to pump steroids into a mosquito.
