My mate has the new beetle convertible thing, its quite nice and it has a wee vase for a flower

A slightly flattened roof and news ads won't change this to a guys car. Nice try VW, but you are deluding yourself. If it's not girls driving it, its dorks. I think your own ads make the latter buyer category clear.

One of the best cars I ever had was a 70 model Bug with a dual port engine, headers, power pulley, and some Kragar mags MOUNTED UP TO IT IN A WAY THAT GAVE THE CAR a slight lean toward the front. Gear one through three had me looking in the rear view mirror at anyone in the county, but when I dropped it into fourth the story line would change. :(. I often wondered why VW did not cater to what the customer was doing with the car. Look at the Mini now! BMW is making it easy to get that car any way you want it. Pay attention VW! I always wanted my Bug to be a little Porsche. But occasionally, I would hit the dirt roads and have a whole lot of fun! Thank you VW, you have now made one that I will buy.
