Turns out that Car and Driver was wrong about Kia's upcoming rear-wheel-drive concept for Frankfurt being called the Veredus. The pulp and ink mag itself stumbled upon a bevy of newly leaked images showing Kia's four-door coupe concept, and lo and behold, one of them reveals what this car will actually be called: GT.

Kia GT concept, interiorOne of the images is a nice elevated rear 3/4 shot that shows a decorative license plate bearing the "GT" moniker. The new photos also reveal more of the car's design than we could tell from the aggressively cropped set that Kia distributed last month. Also included are the first views of this concept's interior, which appears simply executed with high-end materials and a driver-oriented cockpit, but nowhere near realistic enough to be ready for production.

Check out all of the new Kia GT concept images in our gallery.

I see more Tesla Model S And Jag XF personally. I like it. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

This was exactly my first thought...but I thought the Estoque had some very Camaro-esqe ques especially the rear 3/4 view. I don't get that at all from this.

The back looks great. The front...not too much.

I agree. The front is too busy. The rear is really nice. Nice lines.

Were they trying for the Guinness Book of World Records fastest board meeting? I bet it went something like this... Board-member 1- "QUICK! We need a name for this car. Something sporty!" Board-member 2-"GT!" Board-member 1-"Great Scott that is amazing! Meeting adjourned!" lowered voice "Did we make it?" Guinness Record Guy-"You were off by 1.76 seconds. Better luck next time."

Mazda needs to hurry up and build the Shinari. It is by far the best looking of all these me too 4 door GT concepts that all look the same.

if this car had a more Optimus-like front end i would LOVE it. The rear end is sexy, just not the front.

So all of a sudden, we know the name of the car due to what it says on the license plate? I mean, if it said "Kiasaurus" or something of significance, I'd believe it was the name....but "GT"? How do we know its not the Kia Veredus GT?

it's impossible for GT to mean anything other than it's the cars real name. yep, GT couldn't possibly mean grand touring.

As in the roof-line that joins the bonnet with the trunk lid? Anyway... Audi made by Kia? Sure, why not, it will be better made and more reliable.
