If you were smitten by the Subaru XV concept, Fuji Heavy Industries is ready to make your dreams a reality at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.

Influenced by the concept that debuted in Shanghai this April, the production version of Subaru's next generation crossover is set to land in European showrooms later this year. For those of us in the States, you'll know the XV as the Impreza Outback, although it's unclear if the Euro-XV will form the basis of the next Outback wagon or another variant of the Impreza. We'll know soon enough once we hit the floor in Germany. Check out the brief press blast after the jump.

Tokyo, August 10, 2011 - Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, today has announced that it will exhibit the all-new "SUBARU XV" (European specifications) as a world premiere at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. With the core ideal of "engineering excellence", Subaru continues to provide customers with "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind" in all Subaru products.

Get a used 08+ model, it'll look much nicer than the toyota-forcefed crap they're starting to put out.

Its nice to see that Subaru finally is getting a cohesive design language for their entire lineup. Similarities in the headlights and grill without the rest being entirely the same (ala Audi) is nice to see compared to their past of completely jumbled lineup (save for the "aircraft inspired" fascia of the Tribeca and Impreza a few years back).

I know it is only a dream, but I think it would be amazing to see the same roof they used in the Shanghai concept make its way to the US on the outback sport edition.

Why tease something that's already been released? The Impreza Outback always has the same exact body as a regular Impreza hatch, just an extra 2" of ground clearance.

I thought they already showed a full mock-up of this a month ago. I remember it looking better than the standard version of the vehicle which veered too far off from the sweet show concept model.
