If you've been clamoring for the fifth installment of Infiniti's striptease of the new JX crossover, the wait is over. Today, Infiniti released this image, showing the JX's rear end in its full glory, only furthering our opinion that the automaker's new seven-seat CUV is substantially more attractive than the larger-than-life QX that currently roams the streets. As we've reported earlier, the JX will officially debut as part of this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance festivities in Monterey, California, but after scrolling through our high-res image gallery of teaser images, the new crossover's design is hardly a secret anymore. Hold on tight for the full details in just a couple of weeks.

I think this angle may not represent the vehicle very well. If you look at the rear side profile, the rear glass seems to lean forward quite a bit, whereas it looks upright here, without a reference for depth, shot from above eye level, with a wide angle lens. There are some interesting surfaces in the shots we've seen so far-- I think we will have to wait for more to see how it works together. BTW, if you look at their facebook page, there is an additional grille shot on the sidebar http://www.facebook.com/#!/infiniti?sk=app_229827717039777

This looks like a leftover car. They wanted to release it back in '08 but decided not to, then the beancounters found a finished project and told the company to throw it onto the market. Boring and blobby, not like the Infiniti I liked.

Why does Infiniti need two crossovers? One is too many.

This thing is going to be a huge dissapointment. May look good, but not good enough to warrant all the hype.

Not counting the G series, why can't Infiniti design a vehicle that isn't overstyled? Oh I forgot. they are part of Renault/Nissan

This backend looks more like an old Studebaker Lark Wagon than the QX does...not that I mind.
