Here's your official spoiler alert warning, as the following video is taken from a Top Gear episode that has yet to air on this side of the Atlantic.

Top Gear tests automobiles that are pure dream fuel for the average enthusiast. The Top Gear Test Track has pushed truly tenacious machines to the limit courtesy of both the trio of presenters and, of course, The Stig. Since Lamborghini has a new big bull, it was only a matter of time before the largest Lambo arrived on the set of the world's greatest motoring show.

Richard Hammond is up first, and his date with the Aventador goes rather swimmingly. After he gets a shot in the control seat, the Stig has the chance to run the Lamborghini around the track. How does the Aventador fare? Click past the jump to find out...and make it quick, because this video could be pulled from YouTube soon.

Wow. The sound, the interior, the power. They did it again. Excellent work. The Aventador is one awesome Lamborghini.

Styling cues on it are amazing. I really liked the time it pulled around the test track also. It has a little bit of everything Performance, luxury, and is super car in your face. Test track time is 1:16.5. Faster than a Veyrons 1:18.3 which is amazing.

Sounds so gooooood. I wish it were possible to produce a vehicle with that performance potential (and aural pleasure) for the common man.

Technically they do, with the Ariel Atom, ktm, not to mention motorcycles. But on the same note those are literally half the machine that this is. Super cars wouldn't be special if everyone could attain them.

I haven't loved the looks of a Lambo since the Miura. And that might be crazy. But I love this car's looks. OH MY GOD IT LOOKS GOOD.

Top Queer ,, Great car but I thought he was going to blow his load , little over-reaction from the queer squad – he says it’s just a big Audi not exciting enough -

I see what you did there. I bet as old as you are you still would never be able to afford this kind of card anyways. So tell you what old man. why not just stop hating Hammond is half your age and knows 8 times more about cars then you ever will.

Well I'm sure Hammond is sorry that he didn't test drive an 80's Buick wagon for you, gramps. Dont they tell you homophobia is looked down upon in the nursing home?

The Aventador was designed completely inhouse by Lambo. Maybe even the 4wd system as well. So considering the fact that the R8 was based off of the original Lamborghini Gallardo, and currently uses the engine from a modern day Gallardo (5.2L DI V10), I must ask what the hell are you smoking.

so they renamed the Reventon and added paint chips?!? cool....

The reventon was a rebodied murcielago design concept that Lamborghini sold a few of. Its purpose WAS to influence the design of future lamborghinis.

right, but there is a difference between influence and virtually copy. you take a dark gray aventador and put it next to a reventon, it would be very very difficult to tell them apart. don't get me wrong.. it's a stunning car.. but i'm just disappointed that very little was done to set it apart, visually, from the reventon (which was designed to be a futuristic jet fighter-like car)

Anyone that call this a large Audi is obviously a dumbass. Unique engine, transmission, suspension and carbon tub make this one of the most detached vehicles from the rest of the VW group vehicles. This is a true Lamborghini with things done their way. Hammond and May are idiots in this instance for implying that improving the vehicles dynamics ruins it as a Lambo.
