Lamborghini has begun sending out invitations this week for the debut of its new "super sports car" at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. While the Italian automaker has a number of projects in development, this "super sports car" is most likely a production version of the Sesto Elemento concept that debuted last year at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

We had already heard that if the Sesto Elemento were to reach production, it would be for track use only. The invitation sent out this week says "Lamborghini. Racing Towards Frankfurt," which suggests that the car debuting in Frankfurt also has a track connection. Put the two together and we suspect we'll be seeing the Sesto Elemento again in Germany next month, this time without the word 'concept' attached to its name.

You guys will probably laugh at this but here goes. I've owned porsches, aston martins, jaguars, AMG Mercedes, vettes, etc, etc. but none has given me the thrill of the car I own now. I mean pure fun driving it!!!! The John Cooper the Works Mini Cooper convertible. I just came back from the hills and mountains of North Carolina and had a blast on the winding country roads. Then driving back to Miami, this little Turbo suprised me at speeds from 70 to 100mph in and out of traffic with handling I couldn't believe. This thing is a kick in the pants to drive!!!

the '50's MINI cars were an utter blast to drive in their day, too. 10 feet long, first mass marketed transverse engine front wheel drive automobiles...a Cooper version only spiced up the experience!! BTW kudos for your usage of 'none has'....not one person in many many would have elected to use the singular 'has' with none...
