Mary Kay's annual Seminar gathering is being held in Dallas right now, and the company best known for its pink Cadillacs is giving its independent beauty consultants another reason to work hard: a black Ford Mustang V6 has joined the fleet of available cars its consultants can earn the use of. The Mustang is by far the sportiest option among the pool, sharing garage space with the Chevrolet Malibu and Equinox, Toyota Camry and, of course, that pink Cadillac.

While Mary Kay is sold in more than 35 countries, each auto fleet is selected by the regional body so the Mustang is only on offer in the U.S. (sorry, Moldova). However, the pink Cadillac remains at the top of the heap for makeup-sales rainmakers – "that's the icon," we were told. Still, the Mustang was very well received: "there were lots of cheering women."

You'll find a press release with more info after the jump.

Mary Kay Unveils the Newest Member of Its "Beauty Fleet" in Dallas – It's Not Pink, It's Not a Cadillac, Although It Will Still Turn Heads...

Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants accustomed to stopping traffic with their beauty will now have the opportunity to earn the use of a sporty new ride to success

Dallas, July 27, 2011 – Mary Kay's annual Seminar today served as the backdrop of a spectacular unveiling when thousands of Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants – expecting perhaps to see a new model of the coveted pink Cadillac – were astonished by a brand new, black Ford Mustang entering from behind a thick curtain of smoke and dazzling pyrotechnics. The exhilarated crowd demonstrated their approval of the new family member with roaring cheers and applause. The stylish Ford Mustang joins her iconic sister, the pink Cadillac, as another symbol of status and achievement of the Mary Kay independent sales force.

"At Mary Kay, for nearly 50 years, we have conducted extensive design work as we develop on-trend, high-performing color cosmetics and skin care products that consumers want and need," said Yvette Franco, Vice President of U.S. Marketing. "We applied this same, deep-rooted commitment to searching for a new Mary Kay Career Car option for our Independent Beauty Consultants that beautifully blends style and sport, with functionality and durability – as well as one more way to inspire the Mary Kay independent sales force on their road to success. Our company's dedication to finding what women want is underscored once again as we welcome the trendy and sporty Ford Mustang to our family of Mary Kay Career Cars."

The revered, American-made Ford Mustang joins the signature pink Cadillac and the fleet of Mary Kay Career Car options available to top-performing, qualifying Mary Kay Independent Sales Directors who earn the use of these Mary Kay Career Cars. The Ford Mustang is prized by consumers and has received numerous accolades such as: 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year finalist, one of Forbes magazine's "10 Cars That Changed The World" and one of Forbes' "The Toughest Cars on the Road" in 2011.

Seminar celebrates the success of the company's independent sales force during five, back-to-back conferences. Seminar is focused on recognizing Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants for their achievements, while also providing education, inspiration and motivation for the year ahead.

Have dealt with Mary Kay Escalades blocking all of creation when accidentally staying at a hotel that was hosting some kind of regional meeting. Will NEVER make that mistake again.
