We continue to live in what is arguably the best time for the automobile in history. If you need proof, look no further than German bruisers like the BMW M3 GTS and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The high-horsepower, high-performance coupes are equally wicked, and the crew from Fifth Gear decided to sort out which of those racers is the best bang for the buck. In a recent episode, Tiff Needell championed the Porsche and Vicky Butler-Henderson carried the BMW banner.

The two cars were thrown into a series of tests, including a drift-off and a lap battle. Which came out on top? We won't spoil the result for you. Hit the jump to check out the video for yourselves.

Love both of these cars. Vikki is a good driver, but c'mon Tiff is a proper racing driver. I would've liked to see HIS time in both cars a I think his time in the BMW would have beaten the RS' time.

A drift-off? What does that have to do with sports cars?

No doubt that BMW and Porsche cars are consisting of many high amount of technology in it's features, especially it's high profile horse power engines, through these types of engines BMW and Porsche cars are gives a great running performance through out the year including a less amount of maintenance.

      GT3 RS 4.0 > M3 GTS > GT3 in my opinion.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, BidsOut.com

They waste so much time with worthless drifting. Great, the car has enough power to kick out the rear and have some fun. Stop fooling around and really drive the car to its full potential, which means no drifting. GT3RS FTW!

BMW did surprisingly well considering it still weighs a lot more than the GT3RS and has narrower tyres. The GT3RS should have fared better in the lap, Tiff was letting it understeer too much (but I'm not complaining, if I were to drive a GT3RS on the limit, it would be backwards in a hedge by the first corner)

911s are never "easy" to drive fast. Everyone I know that has raced a 911 will attest to this. They're beautiful machines though.
