Forza 4 is set to hit stores on October 11th, and Turn 10 Studios wants you ordering the game before the leaves start to change color. A limited collector's edition has been announced, which is chock full of goodies, both virtual and real. For $79.99, Xboxers will receive a special tin that contains the game, a 96-page photo book titled Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 presented by Top Gear, vinyl stickers and a slew of downloadable content.

Those who opt for the limited collector's edition will be able to download the VIP Car Pack and Ship Bonus Car Pack. The former includes the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Ferrari 458 Challenge, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, Noble M600 and Ruf Rt 12 R. The Cars of the Ship Pack are a 1965 Ford Mustang GT, Koenigsegg Agera, 1997 Lexus SC300, Ruf RGT-8 and Tesla Roadster. A pack of 10 muscles cars will also be available, as well the winning cars in a Forza-sponsored BMW design challenge contest.

Speaking of BMW, the 2012 M5 serves as the cover car for the limited collector's edition version of the game. The furious four-door is, of course, also available within the game.

I haven't even beat Forza 3 yet. I want to beat it all by hand, and I've still got a few endurance races to do, like the bloody 10 laps of the Nurburgring. I was on lap 8, nearly out of fuel so I pitted, exited the pit lane and FUKKEN M. ROSSI PLOUGHS STRAIGHT INTO MY SIDE. Hit the rewind button... and what is this? Why is the rewind button not working? WHY? M. Rossi. What a prick.

Get a Fanatec wheel, too. It is far and away better than the Official Xbox wheel. Do PLEASE try one, or find someone that has one. A buddy with too much time and money has one. It improves on an already amazing game.

Agreed. The whole prospect of kinected driving looks kinda lame and not-so-fun at best. It's almost as though Microsoft told Turn 10 something like "Look, we've got this Kinect thingie and you're going to make it work, m'kay?" I'll stick with the old-school X-Box controller thanks.

Nevermind the fact that this game has many wheel already being offered for it. Controllers Casual to Hardcore: Kinect, Microsoft Racing Tilt Device, Xbox 360 controller, Microsoft Racing Wheel, Mad Catz Racing Wheel, Fanatec CSR, Fanatec CSR Elite. There is also another wheel partner unannounced(Logitech?).

It looks like the car packs come with the limited edition. A lot of games are like this now, though, and I agree with where you are coming from. I bought Tiger Wood 2012 with the Masters and found out that I couldn't even play the entire season unless I paid for and downloaded 6 additional golf courses. I chose to skip those events, but it pissed me off. Makes me not want to buy any more EA Sports titles. With Forza, the car packs have been nice, but there is really nothing in there that is necessary to win the game or compete in any event. Mainly just extra stuff that you may or may not be interested in. I got the limited edition Forza 3 and it came with a bunch of extra DLC for cars and tracks and USB flash drive and a key chain among other things.

Anyone know if Porsche will be in this game as a manufacturer? That's probably my biggest gripe with GT5 is not being able to hop in a 911 GT3RS and enjoy the Nordschleife... And yes, I'm a pretty big fan of GT5. It's a great simulator, but I'm definitely buying an Xbox for this game. It seems a lot more polished and the AI of Forza 3 was worlds better than GT5's AI.

Now to convert them all to 4wd as Forza 3 allowed :-( Also, I hope they left out the ability to look around you when using the steering wheel as well as the ability to create public lobbies just like Forza 3. On a serious note, I sure hope they have hoppers for "stock tuned" cars such as V8 supercar series and such. Its boring only needing 2 cars for R3: The Mosler and 08 Viper 4wd...
