Okay New Yorkers, here's your chance to get behind the wheel of a Nissan Leaf! The Leaf will be on display at Jones Beach State Park Friday, July 8th through Sunday, July 10th at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY. This is not one of those look-but-don't-touch events. Individuals wanting to drive the Nissan Leaf will have the opportunity to do so on a pre-determined course with a Nissan rep riding shotgun.

Nissan's Drive Electric Tour kicked off way back on October 1, 2010. The automaker has set a tentative schedule, locations and even included a nifty button on its website, which allows you to register for a drive of its zero-emissions vehicle. The website says to "allow 60-90 minutes to enjoy the full drive electric tour experience," which implies quite a bit of time behind the wheel (unless there's lots of paperwork and a presentation involved). If this sounds like a must-attend event, hit up the site, schedule your drive and you'll soon get a chance to pilot the "game-changing" Nissan Leaf. The tour continues around the U.S. and you can find details on other stops here.
