Tesla Model S Alpha – Click above for high-res image gallery

Tesla Motors has put up some new pictures of the Tesla Model S Alpha, and its gorgeous new model looks more production-ready than ever.

The changes we can see are subtle, but compared to the prototype, the Model S now sports a different lower fascia. The new look seems slightly more aggressive and angular compared to the prototype's rounded appearance, especially the accents under the headlights. The vents(?) above the front wheel wells also appear to have been made smaller, making the car even more sleek.

What changes do you see? (Check out a gallery of the original prototype here.) Thanks to Ben C. for the tip!

Looks like a Audi, Maserati and an Aston all in a blender. But bizarrely enough, it works.

Aston Martin Rapide Lite, Anyone? Before I read the header, I assumed it was a new Aston. But Henrik Fisker worked on this and the DB9 so it makes sense. The new chrome around the windows and the new fender lines brings it closer to the look of the Rapide

I worked on this car for two years and can tell you Fisker's design looked like a Chrysler 300, compared to this.

Reduce the chrome, but Tesla has a legitimate design language, and its called 'sexy'. It looks like a 70k car. The newer 'coupe/sedan' lines really work here.

I liked the prior iteration of the design better. Why the large front opening? Sorry but tome it looks like the child of a marraige between a Honda Accord and an Aston Martin.

changing the front end with the lower intake add on changes the whole front end to me. it lost some of the futuristic "loose" nature. now it looks like it was painstakingly trying to think of details
