P 4/5 Competizione – Click above for image gallery

Born from the mad mind of James Glickenhaus, the P 4/5 Competizione is the racing version of Glickenhaus' road-going P 4/5. A rendered image has been transformed into a carbon fiber-bodied track racer, which is set to tackle race tracks across the globe. Captured in a variety of videos, the P 4/5 has been missing that last little bit to turn it into a full-fledged race car – sponsorship stickers. That is, until now.

The P 4/5 Competizione has been officially tarted up with a variety of sponsor signage. While we hate to see that glorious carbon fiber body hiding behind vinyl, we still think the car looks pretty amazing. Check it out from all angles by clicking through the gallery below.

dear autoblog author.. the P 4/5 Competizione does not race around the globe... it race only one race series and this race series races only one track the whole year... The VLN ... the northloop endurance race series! they have already raced one VLN race and dropped the race from April 30, they prefer to take the time to preperae the car for the 24h northloop race with endrance tests in Italy including night driving.. The P 4/5 Competizione is raced by Scuderia-Cameron-Glickenhaus from N.Technology in a experimental race class E1XP2 together with the BMW M3 GT2...currently they have problems with engine heat... at the first race the engine overheated pretty quickly and they need to rework the cooling system, the next problem they face are the air restrictors they have to run in the E1XP2 class which cut their topseed 25-30km/h compared to the fastest Porsche and R8 LMS... They trade weight for larger air restrictors, at the next race at May 14th the organisation of the VLN will inspect the perfromance and will allow them larger air restrictors if needed to be fairly competetive for the 24h race. At the race from the April 2. they were ~20s slower each lap as the BMW M3 racing in the same class http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/600/20799620202400981808110.jpg the P4/5 VLN during test days at March 26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sZpdblGkeA&feature=player_embedded#at=37
