As if you needed any reminder, in the 1971 film Vanishing Point, a character by the name of Kowalski is tasked with making it from Colorado to San Francisco in a 1970 Dodge Challenger. Kowalski bets a friend that he can make the run in just 15 hours, but – Spoiler Alert – he doesn't make it... and neither does the muscle-bound coupe. The flick has been a cult favorite for years, and one of its fans, Bob Frederick of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, got some help from Chrysler to create 10 2011 Kowalski Edition Dodge Challengers.

Starting life as a traditional 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, these white coupes have had their stripes removed and a handful of options added on. Inside, a pistol-grip shifter sits at attention and a numbered dash plaque is mounted nearby. On the outside, the Kowalski Edition Challengers sport Mopar quad exhaust tips, Scat Pack Bee decals in the rear quarter windows and a tasteful Kowalski Edition decal on the rear spoiler.

All 10 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Kowalski Edition cars have been spoken for, so if any owners are reading this and want their car delivered quickly, we can help set that up. We promise to avoid bulldozers and the fuzz.

For those asking, no this isn't supercharged. I met the guy who owns #1 at the Spring Festival of LX's last month in Irvine, CA. He and the guy that owns the #2 Challenger 392 said both of their cars would be going into storage after that show.

One of the cars was in Irvine? Damn! I was talking to a few folks at CnC before they drove over to El Toro... I wish I could have seen the Challenger.

Does it come with a matching white Camaro in case you need to crash it?

Alright so I know the owner of numbers 1 and 7. This is NOT just a modded srt. It comes from the factory with these options, and the window sticker reflects that. They are the FIRST EVER COPO DODGE CARS as well. Dodge did this special for Bob Frederick because he is one hell of a dealer and has gotten more of these cars in the hands of owners than anyone else. I bought mine from him and I'm in New York because he guaranteed, and delivered, on one of the first plum srts to hit the street. Best auto dealer I've ever heard of, became more of a friend than a salesman to all of us who ordered through him. Now on to the car. There are some very special things about this car that have been kept somewhat quiet. Also, the #1 car will NOT be put into storage. EVER. This man plans on driving the hell out of his car. He also owns the very first 6 speed srt from 09 too, which he drives like a mad man aswell (in a good way). Its actually being held by a certain company right now for a 'lil' work. Lets just say it will eclipse the myth of the movie car. Some great people involved in these cars. Just figured as someone who isn't going off speculation and 3rd party information I should chime in.

3...2...1...instant money-grab! Seriously, can't I just buy an SRT8 and have it painted white? The only other substantial things it adds are readily available as Mopar accessories, apart from the ever-popular "numbered dash plaque". Then again, at least it's a "limited-edition" Challenger and not one of the 45-bajillion "limited-edition" Mustangs...

The Mustang's 3rd-party "Limited-editions" got nothing on Porsche.

Too bad It's not a better interpretation With spoiler delete on rear, Foose challenger rims and an Rt interior. and maybe challenger rt script on the fenders.

In the movie...the car was "supercharged" at least according to the police chasing him. Will it come blown?

Let me get this straight. - Take a normal SRT8 392 Challenger - Remove Stripes - Add Pistol Grip Shifter - Add Quad Exhaust TIPS - Add Number Plaque - Add a couple stickers Now its limited??? Give me a break...
