Asus Lamborghini VX7 – Click above for image gallery

Asus and Lamborghini have teamed up for yet another new round of computer products. The raging bull has supplied design touches to various Asus laptops over the past few years, and this marks the seventh generation of car/computer collaboration. Called the VX7 and inspired by the Murcielago, this Asus laptop features leather-lined palm-rests, a Lamborghini logo atop the clamshell lid and a set of Lambo-inspired taillights out back. Certainly the best part, no?

Available in Orange or Carbon Fiber, the VX7 utilizes a 2.0-GHz Intel Core processor and boasts 16GB of RAM, a Blu-Ray combo drive and a massive 1.5-TB of storage thanks to a dual hard-drive setup. Like any self-respecting machine carrying the Lamborghini badge, this bad boy won't come cheap – the pre-order asking price is €1,995. That's about $2,826 in U.S. currency for those of us sitting Stateside. Thanks for the tip, Pasi!

I didn't know Transformers turned into laptops?!? I'd rather have my Mac any day!

Just a note, ASUS is primarily a contract manufacturer, making products for other brands, like Apple (which doesn't have any factories). A Lamborghini/ASUS branded computer has a similar price to a comparably spec'd Macbook Pro in the UK, and are likely built on the same assembly line. Even so, you are paying for styling and brand name vs. less sylized comparably spec'ed machines.

      That looks friggin' ridiculous.

If you buy this and you don't actually own a Lamborghini, then I think it is pretty safe to say you are probably a D-bag.

I think it is absolutely the worst thing to see people parading around with Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche items and they don't own one of the vehicles.

something tells me you drive a 2000 accord.
I'm so sorry for your 12 year old Accord.

You are really going to try to compare an avatar on an auto site to a guy that wears a Ferrari shirt and hat and drives a 2000 Honda Accord?

        That is pretty sad.

I agree. BTW, how do you like your Bugatti?

Glorified VW laptop from Taiwan. What will they think of next? At least it's better value than that crapturd Ferrari book.

      That is cheesy as hell.

Maybe if I were an extreme Lamborghini afficinado, but I'd still never take it out of the house for fear of embarassment.

Where's the princess-themed version for little girls?

The car tail-lights make it look like a toy for little boys! And it would probably sell like hotcakes if it was a low-spec PC priced for parents to buy for their kids. (Even better if it was Lightning McQueen instead of Lamborghini!)

      So it's a G73 with a paint job?
A paint job and a $1,000 price premium.
An awesome paint job! With the Aussie dollar being so strong, even with hefty postage this is great value!
