2012 Spada Codatronca Monza – Click above for image gallery

Images of the Spada Codatronca Monza boutique sports car have leaked onto the internet ahead of its debut at this year's Top Marques Monaco show. The Codatronca, you'll recall, is a Chevrolet Corvette Z06-engined low-volume supercar cooked up by Ercole Spada. Spada cut his teeth working for Zagato, BMW, and IDEA Institute before starting his own company, Spadaconcept.

The Codatronca is the company's first attempt at a supercar and it uses an aluminum spaceframe and magnesium engine cradle coupled with the aforementioned Corvette engine. To make things just a tad more interesting, Spada adds twin superchargers to the already-potent 427, bringing the horsepower total to a heady 700.

As quoted by AllCarIndex, the Monza will have a scant 2,500-pound curb weight, meaning that Spada's creation ought to hit 60 mph in three seconds flat and top out at nearly 210 mph.

Ya know, without the ugly roof, the Codatronca doesn't look half bad.

That is cool and beautiful. Loose the stupid superchargers just go with the stock zo6 motor with some better breathing. I like that zo6 "spyder" idea - those crossed flags would fabulous right behind the front wheels. Do what Porsche does - chop the roof off, remove the stereo and door handles and charge twice as much.

A little too similar to the Murcielago/Reventon, especially up front. And the Bertone Mantide in back.
...how could that possibly be a detriment?

The nose looks a little too happy, but otherwise love it. Spada's the only ones who do these Corvette coachwork things right in my opinion.

I like everything but the front. It looks like a deformed Lambo.

Leaked like a celebrity attention whore's sex tape... on purpose.

Argh, kill it with fire. Oh, wait, it'll prolly do that by itself w/ 200hp's worth of boost going into an LS7. FI, lofty CR's, and thin cylinder walls don't mix well.
