Cadillac ATS spied on GM's proving grounds – Click above to watch the video after the jump

We're likely a year away from the reveal of the Cadillac ATS, as the rumormill states that the rear-drive Caddy will likely go on sale in fall of 2012. We've seen plenty of spy photos of the sub-CTS Cadillac, as well, and now we've got a video that shows the entry-level ATS in motion.

The post-jump video, which comes courtesy of the folks at ATS Forums, appears to have been shot from the branch of a tree outside of General Motors' proving grounds in Milford, Michigan. It's difficult to see much in the video due to the heavy camo adorning the prototype, but we do see a more steeply raked windshield and a greenhouse that, compared to that of the CTS, appears to be a bit more rounded.

As an added bonus, the video shows a three second-long glimpse of the Buick Regal GS at the 1:34 mark. Hit the jump to take in the video for yourself. There may not be any audio, but there's plenty to see.

Hmm, looks alright so far, but the profile might be just a bit too close to the Prius.

Waiting for people to comment on the styling of this camo'ed test mule in 3...2...1...
I think the styling is great... but I would never buy it with that awful silver and black two-tone paint job

      Props to the camera man.

      Hey Chris Shunk...

You're a poet and didn't even know it. lol

      Anyway...

Cadillac? LS3 for the V trim, please? Maybe the LS3's suspected replacement?

ATS Forum? Really? There must be a forum for eveything...

Still not digging the ATS nomenclature. CTS, STS, SRX, even DTS all sound right, but ATS just sounds strange.

Yeah man, www.fordaerostar.com is the place to be!

Concerned ATS-V only available with an auto (according to leftlane).
I can not imagine Cadillac would mess this all up like that by only offering an auto. They have done so well going after the upscale enthusiast market lately that not offering a manual sounds improbable.

Will be a great addition to Cadillac's sporty luxury image.

        ATS-V

That is all I need to see.
I think that's the debunked wishlist from some kid that made the rounds a while ago.
The spec sheet is not real...
