Porsche is reportedly working on a new range-topping Turbo S version of its four-door Panamera. Much like the Turbo S versions of the 911 and Cayenne, this would likely mean a bump in power is in order, as well as tweaked design elements and some additional standard equipment.

Autoblog.it reports that the Panamera Turbo S is expected to produce around 550 horsepower – 50 hp more than the 'base' Turbo. Torque output is also pegged to increase from 516 pound-feet (or 568 lb-ft with the Sport Chrono Turbo pack) to around 590 lb-ft. Thus, the Panamera Turbo S should sprint to 62 miles per hour in around 3.8 seconds.

Rumors suggest that Porsche could debut its Panamera Turbo S as early as April at either the New York Auto Show or the Shanghai Motor Show. Based on the price premium the 911 Turbo S commands over the 911 Turbo, we expect the mooted Panamera Turbo S to be priced somewhere around the $160,000 mark.

      I too, wonder how many dissenters of this car's looks have seen one in person. While it's no beauty queen, it's not disgusting, and it's got good proportions. My gripe is just that it's so damn big.

      Anywho, the point of this car is driving dynamics, and everything I've read about the car says it nailed it. I can personally get over the looks to have fullsize awd sedan that runs low 3's 0-60 and 11's in the 1/4, and STILL handles. Still slower than a CTS-V?? Not on your life.

      Well one thing is for sure, it will go like stink.

      Didn't some auto rag get one of these down to 3.2 or 3.4 for a 0-60 time? I am pretty sure they did. That is STUPID fast. Definitely one of the most bad ass sedans on the planet.

        The Panamera Turbo with the powerkit option (the same 550hp engine that might went into the Panamera Turbo S) destroys the CTS-V 0-125mph by 2.2s

        The CTS-V was only the fastest sedan around the Ring(20,6km) because Cadillac compared their factory laptime to sportauto tested laptimes.

        thats the press release from 2004 were they published that they have reached 7:52min with the e60 M5.

      Come on Autoblog, the Panamera Turbo has already been recorded at 3.4 seconds to 60 mph. Stop quoting official manufacturer times and look at actual times gotten by actual people!

      This car if it is made should get it down to 3.2. That's as quick as an Enzo/McLaren F1.

      And that right there is the most ridiculously awesome thing in the world... a heavy as balls sedan as quick to 60 mph as 2 of the top supercars ever made, and quicker than nearly all supercars ever made!

      Love how it drives.
      Love the interior.
      Love the first 3/4s of the car and then there is that rear.
      If you get a Turbo in the right color it is passable.

      My neighbor has a gold colored S and that thing just looks terrible.
      Black, navy blue, charcoal gray or white is the only way to go.

        have you even seen one in person? Personally I love the car, unfortunately most likely will never own one. I know my wife is a fan, she thinks it's easily the hottest Porsche to grace asphalt.
