Mika Häkkinen, Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher Mercedes TV spot – Click above to view video after the jump

The internal rivalry between Mercedes GP Petronas drivers Nico Rosberg and the legendary Michael Schumacher is famous. They race almost as hard against each other as they do everyone else on the track, and exist in a world of tense equilibrium between teammates' friendly competition and bitter rivalry.

Mercedes-Benz has released a new clip that makes light of the rivalry while delivering a sharp message about this year's focus. After Rosberg and Schumacher go back and forth, each ordering the other a progressively expensive and more impressive bottle of champagne, Mika Häkkinen shows up to focus the pair.

The Finnish F1 legend orders both drivers a Red Bull, offering a not-so-subtle clue as to who Merc's gunning for this year. Webber and Vettel, you have been warned. Watch it all after the jump.

This is what I never got about North America, many here are always threatened about their sexuality. These MEN are confident of theirs. Don't blame the commercial for making you insecure.

Who cares about the dinner itself, I'd be more interested in the drive TO dinner! I'm thinking something along the lines of that one scene in Days of Thunder when they race and total those rental cars.

Who said I was American? I'm actually European so....

Anyway, I would delete my comment if I could because it clearly doesn't come across as intended. It was my sudden reaction (as you can by being comment #1). I still insist that buying another man a drink and winking is weird- even in Europe. Maybe not gay but weird.

      No kidding.

There should be a Spoiler Alert. Then again, Autoblog has a long tradition of giving away race results in their titles as well.

Strange to see Schumacher smiling, I have a feeling he won't be doing much of it this season.

Their internal rivalry is famous? Well, maybe in the sense that everything that happens in F1 is "famous," based on the number of viewers worldwide, sure. Otherwise, I don't see how their rivalry is any different than any other set of teammates in the history of the sport.

Rosberg looks barely old enough to drive.

      Not bad.

There's kind of a similar ad by Merc that involves Hamilton and Alonso and Hakkinen in a same kind of role as here.
But why ruin it when you can watch it. ;)

Btw it's kind of funny ad thinking this came out at the start of the season and seeing what happened to those two in the end.

This one is a poor sophomore effort to the original with Fernando and Lewis.
