Cadillac has put together a series of clips that document its return to racing. The automaker will run a pair of CTS-V Coupe SCCA race cars in the World Challenge series, which kicks off March 25th, 2011 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Ahead of the green flag, Cadillac has released the fourth and final clip in its mini documentary.

Titled Ready to Race, the last installment of the series has the team eagerly looking forward to its first official event. Cadillac will face serious competition in the SCCA World Challenge but it's also got an excellent car on its hands. Click past the jump to watch the final episode.

What a weekend line up and in order of importance.

      World Challenge
      Indy Car
      Trucks Nationwide Nascar

and maybe Hockey so long as it doesn't interfere with race coverage!!!

The problem with Top Gear is that, with the exception of Hamster (who likes American muscle), they always rag on our cars and our ability to drive. GM could build a Caddy or 'Vette that could do 0-60 in two seconds, with a top speed of 250mph, and they'd still bag on it and make snide remarks through those snaggled-tooth grins.

Of course, if Top Gear does review an SCCA-prepped CTS-V, I hope GM has the brains to ditch that "Partridge Family" bus paint job; fugly, man.

The Long Beach Grand Prix is going to be sick! I can't wait to root for Cadillac's V monsters! I am surprised to hear that my V has more horsepower than the race car...

      Here is a similar story

Testing in Sebring has shown the CTS-V Coupe race car not only looks good, it has the pace as well. The first real test of the car on track will come this weekend, however, at the Streets of St. Petersburg event that kicks off the SCCA World Challenge GT series.

The CTS-V Coupe's presence will mark the official return of Cadillac to racing since the last outing for the brand with a CTS-V sedan in the 2007 series. The St. Pete race weekend will include two races, one each on Saturday and Sunday.

THE CAR IS BACK!!!! Go get 'em Cadillac!
They dominated the series back in '04-'07, time for history to repeat itself!

I proudly have a poster of the former CTS-V race car hanging up in my garage! One of the greatest American race cars to grace the tracks! Long live American Racing!
