The Squire – Click above to watch video after the jump

A person's love for his or her car is a beautiful thing. Some people realize that an automobile can be more than just a means of transportation. Kyle from Australia, the man behind this video, is one such person, and his 1963 Ford Falcon Squire is one such beautiful thing.

Filmmaker Tom Broadhurst sat down with Kyle to talk about the car and resulting work is a visual treat. Kyle knows that, unless serious financial troubles pop up in the future, the Squire is now part of the family. There's no news here or information to digest, this post is about the basic admiration that a true enthusiast has for his machine. Click past the jump and enjoy The Squire.

Those flippers are a nice touch. My first car(my moms old car that I inherited) was a '64 Falcon wagon with a 260 sprint engine. Didn't care for it then. But I do look back fondly at the nights at the drive-in movies with Darla V. I rebuilt the engine and sold it as fast as I cold and bought a silver '53 Porsche with a '59 super 90 engine for the paltry sum of $1300.00. Ahhh...those were the days...............

Cool guy and a car certainly worthy of obsessing over.
Side note: Australian radio dials are extremely confusing!

Anyone else noticing SERIOUS issues with this video? Severe loading problems, the video kept stopping, skipping. I don't know if it's just my computer or if anybody else has had these problems. If it's a common issue then somebody should put this up on Youtube.

Hi Saturn...the video play back can be a number of things, usually relating to the HD setup on your computer and the media player you are using etc...there's a few tutorials vimeo run to fix this and you can find them with a simple google...enjoy the film

        cheers

Great stuff... I live in Melbourne's East CBD, about a 15-minute walk from Fitzroy, the neighborhood where the owner says he first spotted this car.

I've actually seen "the Squire" tooling around Sydney Rd in Brunswick, and remember thinking that it was a gorgeous restoration. Keep it up Kyle!

My brother had a '63 Falcon Futura, black on black, he bought it new. We drove that little car all over the country, and the man that bought it from him still has it. The vinyl upholstery is still good,....runs like a top, I want it back.
