Shayton Equilibrium – Click above for high-res image gallery

The Shayton Equilibrium looks like it could be a whole barrel of fun. Or rather, it might be – if only it existed. For now, the Shayton remains a digital rendering only, but the Slovenian company is apparently toiling away at making the design a reality.

The Shayton packs a 1,000-plus-horsepower V12 amidships, and, Shayton says it will nail down 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, on the way to topping out at 248 mph. Couple that with carbon fiber bodywork equaling just 2,600 pounds, and you have a true hypercar recipe.

The design is a little bit Ferrari Enzo, a little bit Lotus Esprit, and maybe even a little Marussia B2, but looks to spank all three of them on a track. To do that, the 20 or so Shayton plans to build will need to exist, and so far there's no notion of when that might be.

      Equilibrium...gunkata standard.

Get back to us when they build ONE prototype.... doesn't even have to be fully functional, just something, anything more than some simple renderings.
My favorite part was how the rendering "packs" a V-12. No, it proposes a V-12. It packs into a 5MB zip file.

Wouldn't it be awesome if on 4/1, they changed the name to "Renderblog"?

      "What do you drive?"
      "A Shayton".

      Bleh.

Really derivative design. The back is pretty cool though. Wouldn't mind seeing something like that on the Enzo successor.

You forgot to mention that there some serious Zonda elements in the design of the lower body - especially from rear 3/4 view. Also, Ford GT90 definitely present, as it has been pointed out in other comments.

Worse than the fact that this is nothing but a rendering at this point, this thing does NOTHING new. There are absolutely no innovative ideas about it, which is why IMHO it should just die. Luckily, it will more than likely do just that anyway, so RIP.

Sounds oddly close to "Shaytan" to me.

      The Aventadors evil twin?

That is hilariously sexy, but the name is shayt.

Wouldn't this be sweet if it was the Enzo successor and this was just a front for Ferrari to test the opinion waters...

I hate it when these smaller companies bring out supercars that have great looking front ends and then terrible rears. If they could do so well on the front, honestly can't be that hard to draw up a decent rear.

I agree, Ferrari needs to hire these designers and use their renderings as the design for the next Enzo supercar :)

There's some Ford GT90 hints in that second pic. Nice.

      Wow! Yep, I love it.

Really not bad at all, but i think there is a bit too much going on in the rear designwise
        • 3 Years Ago
The rear looks like something out of a cgi movie, splendid design non the less.
