2011 GTA Spano – Click above for high-res image gallery

GTA Motor has just rolled out its brand-new supercar, the V10-powered, 820-horsepower Spano here at the Geneva Motor Show. The car has a carbon fiber-kevlar composite and aluminum chassis, and will be limited to a run of 99 examples worldwide.

With all that power and very little weight, the Spano makes it to 60 mph in under three seconds, and GTA says it will top out at 217 mph. The car carries massive 380 mm (nearly 15-inch) six-piston caliper AP Racing disc brakes with ABS, and the brakes sap off speed with the help of a ridiculous wide set of Pirelli PZero Rosso 330s (19- and 20-inches wide, respectively).

The car is designed with performance in mind, but it's not a totally stripped-out track-day car, keeping things civilized with a panoramic roof and a carbon fiber luggage compartment complete with fitted bags.

Amazing GTA Spano debut

GTA Spano has made its debut, a great success, at the 81st edition of the Geneva International Motor Show, considered the most important car show in Europe and one of the most important in the world.

During the two first days of the fair, which are reserved for specializing press, the 100-m2 stand prepared by GTA Motor for this occasion, was one of the most visited stands and amazed by the international press.

GTA Motor took this opportunity to launch the GTA Spano version, with a 820 hp V10 engine.

The International Geneva Motor Show, with more than 10.000 accredited journalists, will open its doors to the public between 3-13th March.

A limited edition of 99 models of GTA Spano will be produced. This brand is characterised by its exclusive look and high performance, which accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 km/h, figures proving its potential.

Experience in competition has been a key factor to develop this car, which has several world patents. Its chassis has been created by combining Kevlar, carbon fibres and titanium, and it has become a reference in the automobile sector. It has a V10 engine which is longitudinally positioned at the rear with 820 HP and a torque of 960 nm.

It comes with the latest Pirelli Pzero tyres, which measure 255/35 on a front 19" wheel and 335/30 on a 20" rear wheel. These wheels are manufactured exclusively for this car.

Its braking system is ABS-based with a 380-mm-diameter carbon ceramic ventilated disc brake system and 6 piston callipers supplied by AP Racing. Its glass panoramic roof provides it with a feeling of openness, makes it sporty and elegant, and has a patented system of interior lighting and liquid crystal shading thus rendering its interior a feeling of generous space.

I'm not typically a fan of the design of cars like this, but damn. That is one sexy looking car!
it has both great ideas, and serious issues

THIS is how Ferrari needs to design their new cars, looks like they could learn something from these guys.

Sorry,I had just watched the Ferrari FF article before this and i gess it turned me off,WAY off,at least the design.

Please no, this isn't bad but it's not what I expect from Ferrari.
I'm not digging the wheels and the massive wing, but otherwise it's OK.

Looks like its straight out of the Burnout series IMO. Very generic, non-offensive in design. The only thing it has in common with any Ferrari looks-wise is choice of paint color.

This would have probably been good clothes for the new Gumpert.
I mean, even if it is generic, it looks better than the Apollo and has room for further improvements.

        By making their cars bland???
I think the design is decent. Its not super sexy, nor yawn-inducing, either. I like the interior design from what I can see of it so far. To be completely honest, Id rather have this than the Huayra. You know its exotic, but not over-the-top.

I just noticed the wheels after i posted, since going through the gallery, and I really, really like them. Have a nice design I don't think I've seen before, although they look a bit small for the car. I wonder if any aftermarket companies make something similar.

And back on the ingress issue I mentioned in my last post- after seeing the car from more angles I realized how bad those sills really are! SO tall, and SO far out from the doors it's ridiculous, even more so than I thought before! I havn't seen anything like that anywhere, outside some widebody kits that don't space the doors out! Imagine having to hurdle your leg and ass above those things, then across their width, into those tiny portholes!

I would imagine it is so for safety purposes though, as this company probably doesn't have the experience needed with composites/weaves to design a smaller sill& larger door opening, and still have it be safe in a side-impact.

This look like a car from the game G.T.A. you can carjack! Even the name sound like it's the game. Generic. But I like it a lot!

This rides looks dated. Like some kitcar based 360 Modena, Lotus chassis wannabe with a Diablo dashboard and some knockoff looking Ferrari console in the middle.

This has to be the laugh of the Geneva Motorshow.....

Put this in GTA V, and you got yourself a deal

I thought rear design looked familiar.Took me a while to remember the name of the car but here it is...
Look at those ridiculously tiny doors and the fat side skirts, and probably sills! Good luck getting into the freakin thing! Besides that practicality problem, I think it looks good, if a bit derivative. Picked some good cars to crib off of, atleast!

+1 Ferrari should learn how to do real cars instead "playboys" ride ....this days a ferrari have more buttons than a play station ....I miss when I "fall in love" whit the F40
      • 3 Years Ago
I guess choosing that paint color, they dream is to be "compared" with a Ferrari. Its too much a bit of everything for me.
