2012 Saab 9-5 SportCombi – Click above to watch the video after the jump

Hello, gorgeous.

Truth be told, we're usually smitten with any new wagon-shaped design, but there's something about the 2012 9-5 SportCombi that's just particularly eye-catching. Perhaps its the rakish rear window, or how the sleek front end of the new-for-2010 9-5 sedan works so well with the more cargo-friendly body. Maybe it's the big dual exhausts out back, or the blade-like 19-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels.

In any case, Saab will officially reveal its 2012 9-5 SportCombi at the Geneva Motor Show next week, and we now have our first video glance at the road-ready car. We don't yet have the full details about the 9-5 SportCombi, but the safe bet is that powertrains, transmissions and interior amenities will be carried over from the sedan.

Click past the break to see Saab's reveal video of the 2012 9-5 SportCombi for yourself, and stay tuned to our Geneva show coverage next week for live impressions of the shapely new wagon. Hat tip to AA!

That likes REALLY GREAT! For sure THE best looking wagon out there. Looking forward to the launch, and hopefully buying it! :)

Wow, in Aero trim this is the best looking wagon out there.

      Very well done SAAB!

      :)

PS, the tires on the car in the gallery are on backwards!

Between the Saab 9-5 and the Cadillac CTS, why would you think of buying a crossover? CUVs tend to be somewhat boxy (the SRX is an exception), and they certainly don't have the acceleration and handling of a wagon.

Wow, that has got to be the best looking wagon on the market, aggressive and stylish but still clean and elegant.

I can't wait to see it in the flesh. The sedan is big....this looks to be almost Subaru Outback sized?

Well done Saab! It may be time to replace my '03 9-5 Aero wagon now...although I do love the character, reliability, vented seats and that turbo passing power of my current wagon.

Having been a three time Saab owner, I'd totally own another Saab if it wasn't such a depreciation magnet. Hopefully with new ownership, powertrain and improved styling, this brand can reverse that trend.

They were some of the best cars I've ever owned...I really miss my 9-5 Aero Wagon with the manual and ventilated seats...

I already love the styling of the 9-5 sedan. This new one takes it!

You're right. That is One. Hot. Wagon.
If only Saab made the 9-5 as a 5-door hatch, like the original 9000 turbo...

The black Aero one leaves you absolutely no reason to want to buy the sedan, none

I do find the sedan boring, but it's now been fixed with the wagon

I need to go change my underwear now...

Got to check out the 9-5 Aero at the Toronto Autoshow last week and I was completely blown away. This is just the icing on the cake!

Oh it is easy to miss, its where lamborginis are , near the ticket booths at the lower floor, both 9-5 and 9-3 are standing there, 9-5 is in a deep metalic blue, such a large car, looks better than audi a6 in my opinion.

Yeah, my friend and I were so disappointed when they weren't in Toronto, but in the last 40 minutes we went to look at the exotics. Then we found SAAB (in the basement, they didn't get on the map). We never saw the exotics.

The 9-5, especially the metallic blue Aero they have there, is absolutely gorgeous.

That is one gorgeous vehicle. Simply gorgeous.

If the new 9-3 is a hatchback and looks this good, consider it sold already.

Absolutely stunning. My father has owned several Saab's and my favourite was always his 9-5 Aero estate, such a brilliant all round car.

By the way Autoblog, photos are available on Newspress now!
