De Tomaso SLC Concept - Click above to watch video after the jump

Now here's a question worth racking your precious brain over. If you were asked to choose between the recently unveiled De Tomaso SLC Concept and a BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo, which would you park in your driveway? If you chose a used Audi RS6 Avant, congratulations, you just made our holiday card list.

Still, it's difficult not to draw comparisons between the recently unveiled De Tomaso and the awkwardly-proportioned 5-Series family hauler. Both vehicles have managed to meld the crossover and sedan realms in a way that few other vehicles have.

While we've already been privy to a few photos of the De Tomaso SLC Concept, a video of the vehicle has now made its way to the internets. The quick clip gives us a slightly better look at what the vehicle will bring to the table when it gets an official unveil early next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Here's hoping it looks better in the flesh. Hit the jump to have a look-see of your very own.

I'm not a huge fan of this "segment" and as such I never would have to make such a choice (thankfully), but between this and the BMW 5 Series GT, I'd choose this. Why? The De Tomaso is destined to be more exclusive because of it won't be a volume seller, and it doesn't seem to be as disproportionate as the BMW. In pictures at least, the De Tomaso only seems like a massive car, whereas the BMW looks genuinely strange.

They should definitely redo the Pantera, slap in a 5.0 from a Mustang and you'd be good to go!

So long out of the market, and they come back with this piece of crap?

Either those men are really short or that vehicle is extra tall. There's a shadow from the car but no shadow from the men. Poor job of photoshopping?

Is it a SUV or what?
Proportions are completely wrong, look how tiny the wheels are compared to the rest of the car.

DeTommaso Pantera is the way forward................don't waste time on this thing

      See? People are stupid.

I think they should have started with a mordern Panthera, a Porsche Boxter competitor (Mangusta?), or maybe a 4 door coupe/sedan (Deauville?). But I still think it looks nice.

Do people even buy these humpback whale vehicles? I was talking to a BMW salesman and he said they cant give away those X6's. For a start-up like De Tomasa to be playing around in this deadly segment ISN'T going to end well.

All they need is retro inspired Pantera for starters and then go from there with a killer sedan. With an ugly SUV they are killing the De Tomasa brand equity (what little there is) AND it wont sell.

He's in the wrong market. I see X6s in SoCal, no problem, even the occasional 5GT. The X6 makes a visual statement like nothing else. Of the lot, the X6 beats the 5GT, while beats the DeTomaso (because they should have known better)

Retro Pantera would be awesome. The blokes who did the new Stratos are who I'd pick to lead that project. They understand how to do things right proper.

They cannot be serious what has this to do with De Tomaso?
The model interior looks like a collection of bits they found in a box in a factory somewhere. The floor to tunnel does not look real at all. This is a waste of money and time.
Do something beautiful that people want to buy!!! Its not difficult

The SLC is a Cadillac SRX with a modified 3 liter engine. Check the interior and you can see the SRX underneath (steering wheel anyone?)
