Chevy Silverado takes a leap of faith – Click above to watch the video after the jump

We'd bet that most Dukes of Hazzard fans figured out by age 10 that no 1969 Dodge Charger could take the abuse dished out by the Duke boys. And even if you thought the General Lee could really nail all those jumps, you probably didn't feel so confident about "Crazy" Cooter Davenport's ability to do the same in his 1968 Chevrolet pickup.

If only everyone had this much common sense. Beyond the jump is video proof that all would-be stunt drivers should befriend a mathematician and a physicist before attempting any stupid jumps. The beginning of the video looks promising enough, as the beat-up old Silverado approaches the dirt ramp, but it doesn't take long for the epic fail to unfold. Good thing the driver was wearing a helmet, because this does not look like a minor collision. Hit the jump to watch and cringe for yourself.

The top three countries in the world by the amount of per-capita hard liquor consumption is 1. France, 2. Germany, 3. USA. However, for some reason I don't see people in either France or Germany doing something as idiotic as that. Could it be the liquor quality issue?

Nah, I just think we Americans are more partial to filming our stupidity and showing it off.

      That's not a Silverado. It's a K2500 Cheyenne.
        Er, C2500. I don't see a transfer case or related 4WD parts.

Does not help matters that the bed was not bolted down. And if anyone ever watched the Fall Guy, the intro shows one of the jump trucks cracking as it lands.

You know, some basic calculations using, high school level physics could have predicted and prevented that crash.

      What idiots.

I got a feeling that some of the people in the video (including the driver) probably never made it past 6th grade so I also have a feeling that they nutt'n bout hi skool fisiks.

(people, it's a joke don't start your ranting)

Yeah, k guys... check this out. Look up maps of where the most poverty is. Where the average education is lowest. Where there are the most churches. Where there are the most hate crimes.

Hint: It starts with an S, and ends with an OUTH. Go ahead and rank me down but the facts are the facts. The south has more uneducated, poor, religious, stupid, hate filled people. Period.

        Gruv... You're still a joke.

Gruv, I've been to Texas and I'm pretty sure these guys are from Texas...
Those are not southern or texan accents in the video.
