R/C drift car slides past fans of all sizes – Click above to watch video after the jump

It's only February but we already have something to add to our holiday wish list: an R/C drift car. We may never be as good as the folks in the video, which you can watch after the jump, but that doesn't mean we can't spend countless weekend hours practicing. Still, our mad skills won't come close to this crew of RC drift addicts, whose sideways sliding skills are on display for spectators in both human and action-figure form.

Regardless of your stance on drifting, the post-jump video shows people having a good time playing with remote control cars, and that's something we can all get behind. Slap the tagline "Fun for ages 1-100" on your computer and click past the jump to watch the down-sized drifting action.

Seen this awhile ago and its still awesome! A few of my car buddies are into these r/c cars and they've dropped a few hundred dollars into mod'ing them. From suspension to gear ratio's its in my eyes insane!

I'm actually quite impressed at how well they are able to control the cars using RC controls.

Having a He-Man figure at one of the corners would take this from a 10 to an 11 in no time.

I'm impressed... great looking cars, impressive track & of course, the skill displayed are awesome. Good job.

Add a little sand to that track and it would looked good getting kicked up .... in SLO MO !
The cars are truly awesome but that track steals the show for me. Who ever took the time to design it and build it deserves a ton of kudos.

how the hell do they have so much grip at the front tires? do they weigh down the front of the car? cause i was expecting a ton of understeer but those cars look like there's actually a heavy engine in the front!

This is so much better than those Fast and... movies or the US version of Top Gear. I want to see a WRC and SCORE versions.

Man, I really want that Subaru Impreza STi hatch body, anyone know what brand that was and where to find the body?
In R/C, bodies and cars are interchangeable.

If you're looking for a good-looking R/C Impreza body, I'd look at HPI. They make great-looking bodies for their R/C cars. And their cars aren't bad at all.
