Ferrari P4/5 Competizione - Click above to watch video after the jump

We've seen video of James Glickenhaus' "daily driver" Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina on the track and the street, and we already know that his race-prepared P4/5 Competizione is progressing nicely. While photos show the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione to be just as sexy as the Enzo-based road car that inspired it, nothing shows off a racing car's chops like actual footage of it in action.

That's now available via just-released in-car video of the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione lapping Italy's Vallelunga circuit. It's the latest exidence that Jim Glickenhaus' new machine is indeed the business. Sounds as good as it looks, too. Follow the jump to watch. Thanks to Don for the tip!

Sounds like every other Ferrari race car, no big deal really especially when you hear them at track most of the time like me. Still has nothing on the Mazda Furai, the sound coming out of those pipes is downright heavenly.

Love this car overall but the wheel gaps are a little big.

That car has insane amounts of grip.

I like how it looks a lot like the original Ferrari P4. I love that round style canopy that a lot of Le Mans cars had back then.

I love the street model. But race cars are supposed to be modern, not retro.
        You've listed 3 street cars.

This race car is a new design, not a rework of the Enzo-based street P4/P5. And it was designed to look retro. That doesn't make sense to me.

Just because it's based off the F430 doesn't make it a different car. It's still based on the looks of the P4/5 street car. It goes on the same recipe that you just described. A retro-styled race car. The Mustang, Camaro, and GT are all in race series. All 3 are retro-styled cars.

Do you ever admit when you're wrong or do you always have to add in stuff to make yourself seem right?

I can't believe I'm arguing with the same guy who thinks the Ford Racing Mustang Boss 302S will be in the Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge.

Kind of like the Ford GT, Mustang, and Camaro?

Heres an idea, How bout a street legal version called the F70?
There's already a street legal version called the P4/5...

Definitely being conservative on these test runs. Sounds like from a few of the downshifts she wants to sing. So bueno.

I love this guy, living the dream.

That video was cool, brought back memories of the old racing games when I was a kid that had the track grapic outlined with the moving dot.
