Click above to watch the video after the jump

There's no shortage of reasons to ride an Italian sportbike. Not enough cash to drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini might be one, but the pure unadulterated euphoria is easily another. The way Aprilia figures, however, there are too many riders out there zooming around town on Ducatis and the like just for the look. But that's not what their bikes are for. In the video after the jump, Aprilia makes the case that they make real bikes for real men. It's a case just about any manufacturer could make about their own products, but Aprilia manages to do it with a dose of funny kicked in for good measure. Follow the jump to see for yourself.

What kinda tool shaves with an electric and puts his helmet on to walk across the yard?

You can kinda tell who in the thread owns or likes Ducatis...
I have owned 2 Ducatis, a Monster and a 748. I have favorable views on the marque, but I also respect Aprilia as they have put out some remarkable machines.

Considering that Ducati riders are squarely in their target market, why insult them? Aprilia makes great bikes, but their marketing department needs some help.

Funny, but the commercial basically fails. The fact that Aprilia feels that only their bikes are for "real" men, poseurs will gravitate towards it just for that alone.

Not like your brand of bikes actually make you grow a pair. I like Aprilia too, but this commercial is just nonsense.

Maybe they should have just rubbed their WSBK title in Ducati's face and put up some good audio and video of their champion. JMHO.

This has all the creativity of a microwave meal and all the production values of a 6th grade play. It reflects poorly on Aprilia.

      Sod off Aprilia.

Agreed. The only Aprilia I'm interested in riding on the street is the SR50 ditech.

Fairly certain Aprilia didn't make this. If they did, it was a half-hearted and lame attempt that resembles the student project I hope it is.

Aprilia been racking up wins in the circuits, so in that context, its saying all the other exotic makers are posers. Works if you've been counting scores in GP racing.
