Hyundai Grandeur/Azera gets the 4D treatment – Click above to watch video after the jump

Avatar may have been a box-office king thanks in part to its wonderful use of 3D film-making. Hyundai, however, is not impressed by Mr. Cameron's science-fiction epic and it's decided to show-off the all-new Grandeur/Azera to the Korean public by way of a 4D commercial shown in theaters.

Hyundai wants those watching this clip to get the sensation that they're actually behind the wheel of the lux'd-up full-size sedan. While we can't get that feeling from watching a video on the internet, we can imagine where some well-placed mist and wind might show up to tantalize senses beyond just vision.

If you really want to try and recreate the 4D experience, have a friend on hand with a fan and a spray bottle then click past the jump to watch the clip. Thanks for the tip, Spark!

"If you really want to try and recreate the 4D experience, have a friend on hand with a fan and a spray bottle ."

That phrase sounds like a cheap spring break wet T-shirt experience.

      Otherwise, nice-looking car.

Not to put forth a stereotype BUT he changed lanes without using his signal.... Figures!

If you really want to criticize the only part where he's not really driving well is where the cruise control system brakes for him because he's distracted and looking in the rearview for some weird reason. Of course it's only in the ad to show off the system.

I will definetly be holding off on purchasing a car until I see this one in person. Hyundai and Kia are kicking ass and taking names on there redesigns.

Exterior is looking nice and distinctive...headlight details seem superb. except the grill which needs more surfacing or details. Looks cheaper/less variant of Sonata.

Also, must say not a big fan of IP center console area. A bit busy with too many shapes and buttons. Does not look luxurious, but rather more of a cheap compact.

      Elantra FWD
      Sonata FWD
      Azera FWD or AWD
      genesis RWD
      Equs RWD

What a Beautiful car! The Genesis and Sonata are good looking, but the new Azera is simply gorgeous. That is simply one of the most elegant interiors I've seen less than $50,000. Can't wait for it to come to the US.

Keep up the good work, Hyundai!

BMW drivers do that all the time.

Wow, that's BEAUTIFUL, just absolutely beautiful! I must say the front looks a bit like the new S60, but I would DEFINITELY get this over the S60. I must say those headlights are absolutely a masterpiece, I haven't seen an LED strip to appear so original and graceful. Hot chick by the way. =]

      WTF.

none of you has commented on that smoking hot Korean babe with the chic glasses.
...... and she was just a salesperson.

don't you wish your saleslady were like that?
she entered the car, tried to seduce the buyer. That's how you sell a car.

        The car is nice too.

The new Azera looks good, makes the Fluid styling on the Sonata look anorexic. it lends more substance to the design language. the interior is a bit hit and miss in terms of ergonomics, think Sonata interior with some steroids, it's a bit overkill for the segment but many will like it. the care drives pretty well, the V6 is throaty and lends the car a sporty character. it's also very comfortable quiet and spacious, and it will be kitted out to rival competitors and out do a few of them for the projected price.

It will however take some time before it reaches the states, Korea is first market, and the Middle East and parts of Asia will be second in line in mid 2011....USA some time after that
