It's becoming harder and harder for manufacturers to hide from the all-seeing eye of the internet. A user with a quick lens over on Ford Forums managed to lay his aperture on a nearly completely uncamo'd example of the new Australian Ford Territory. While the Aussie Blue Oval has been showing off shadowy, stylized photos of the high-rider ahead of its debut, this is probably the best look yet at the new crossover. According to CarAdvice, the next-generation Territory will get its power from a turbo-diesel 2.7-liter V6 engine borrowed from the Land Rover Discovery 3 (a.k.a. LR4). A six-speed automatic transmission will handle shifting detail.
There's also some indication that buyers will be able to opt for an inline six-cylinder gasoline mill if the oil burner doesn't quite suit their wallets. At this point, it's unclear whether Australian buyers will get to play with the new MyFord Touch system that American buyers have been jockeying with in products like the 2011 Ford Edge, but it's a good possibility.

Ford Australia is the midst of a serious product barrage with 85 percent of the company's products receiving significant updates over the next 18 months. Head over to CarAdvice to see the full photos. Thanks for the tip, Andrew!

Handsome, and more indicative of cleaner, more subdued Ford designs (like the prev-gen Euro-Focus, Fiesta and Mondeo). Though if you replaced the blue oval with a VW badge I doubt anyone would notice...

I'd have that over the 2011 Taurusplorer.

The Ford of Europe cars are nice and all, but when will we see some Ford Australia cars in the US?

Wow, this really looks great. I love the VW-style vertical grille

My first impression is that it's not a new Territory but rather a cosmetic refresh.

The aussie inline 6 cylinder engine, will definitely continue in this car, which explains the front overhang to accommodate it.

Unfortunately there are no hints that Ford will put the lpg or reinstate the turbo variants of the six in this car.

Needs to be a bit wider and have larger wheels, just like the concept art we saw a few days ago.

what is this underneath? Is is more like an Explorer or Flex? is it a rear wheel drive with all wheel drive optional? it looks a bit less modern and forward thinking than European or North American Fords. It's hard to judge the scale of it.

      Ford continues to impress.

      I'd love that 2.7L Turbo-diesel.

Doesn't really look as cool as the concept art.

The concept looked really good. This, not so much. It doesn't look bad, but it's not bold and aggressive like the concept. Looks the the Explorer with a VW front slapped on.
