Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer – Click above to watch video after the jump

We've already seen plenty of action on the set of the third installment in the Transformers. Unplanned accidents and injured cast members seemed to dominate the news, but now the film is heading into post-production and we can get a glimpse at what type of action to expect on the big screen. The first trailer has been released for Transformers: Dark of the Moon and we can honestly say the teaser does a good job at raising our excitement level for the new film... even though we know it's going to suck as bad as the last two.

The trailer shows the 1969 Moon landing in glorious HD, but also reveals a secret motive behind the mission. We won't spoil it for you, so just jump and try to figure out how this relates to cars... again.

@ Nick - You are correct I am a set dresser and know first hand how he is a narcissistic a$$hole and treats his employees like crap. His movies keep getting made because we are dumb enough to keep paying to see them. Go watch Armageddon or any of his older movies, nothing changes, he has no originality. Oh yea and don't forget the poor extra who gets paid $150 a day now has brain damage because of that this train wreck of a movie.

GM has also been sponsoring many more television shows lately.

Now why is Spielberg not the actual director of those movies?
he's too busy trying to figure out how to put crystal skulls into the movie. although that wouldnt kill this series... might actually improve it.

There are some things the general public and Autoblog will not agree on. John Hennessey is one, Transformers is another.

What does this have to do with cars?

As bad a Michael Bay films tend to be in terms of the little things like acting, script, logic, continuity, etc... they also have a guilty pleasure quality to them, if only in small doses.

If they get rid of 85 percent of the Human characters and focus more on the actual Robots, I'd love these films even more. Instead, we have to sit there and watch a "pseudo romantic teenage comedy-drama" with a robot inserted into the plot.

Get rid of the Humans and focus on Cybertron and off Planet plots!

Wait, Apollo 11 didn't land on the "dark side of the moon." Bay can't even keep "Our nation's proudest moment" straight...good lord. Why did I see the TF2? Geez that was a steaming pile. Go rent the animated film from 1984 for a better story and better directing.

I think it was 1986 but anyhow you are so right. T1 was good but T2 stunk to high heaven!!! He ruined Transformers! By the way is it Unicron we see inside the wrecked space ship? Could it be Alpha-Trion?

Is Pink Floyd providing the soundtrack for this movie? Will it sync up with Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album?

AH! Big robot movie!! I like it... still waiting for transformers
      • 4 Years Ago
Yes, indeed, it will be complete and utter crap. Not sure how Michael Bay keeps getting the green light on, well, anything.
Perhaps it has something do with the dumptrucks full of cash his movies bring in?

They may not make me think but they have good action and are fun movies.

I love these movies. I know they are incredibly cheesy and dont care much of a story. But, it brings me back to when I was a kid and I would watch Beast Wars with my friends. Its a fun movie to watch and I enjoy them greatly. I dont go expecting to see a academy award nominee.

The best thing Bay did with this movie is nail the morphing sounds. its so alien but just so perfect. I would love to be an animator on this movie. so wicked!

      I cant wait.
