Top Gear in Israel – Click above for high-res image gallery

Were you wondering what the Top Gear crew were doing in Israel when they were spotted there last month? Well wonder no more.

Reports from the British Isles are now stating that the tour across the Middle East was actually shot for a Christmas Special in which Clarkson, Hammond and May retrace the steps of the Three Wise Men who, according to Christian lore, visited the Virgin Mary and the Baby Jesus in the manger in Bethlehem. Only while the trio of yore did it on camel-back, two millennia later, the team of British auto journos – who may have picked up as many followers today as the Nazarene messiah did in his – rode in across Turkey and Syria in three old roadsters.

Looks like it's going to be a Merry Christmas after all, Charlie Brown.

How long 'til TG-USA gets this cool??? Can't see it. Think I'll go watch the Arctic show again.

"How long 'til TG-USA gets this cool?" - in "politically correct" USA , never. but they can make a different format and be cool by actually making an awesome car show instead of a comedy show.

What I'm wondering is how did Jezza fit into a Miata?
If Jezza can fit in a Peel P50, then he should be fine :P

My Apologies. I'm not really sure what the heck I was thinking, or how my brain mixed up this car with the Lancia Monte Carlo.

      Ironically Clarkson is an atheist.

Richards car is a Fiat Barchetta. I thought that car was known for having bad brakes, not catching on fire.
It's not known for either. It's known for a couple of other things though, like an unreliable cam variator and going like stink, looking the works. But catching fire and bad brakes are definitely not a problem (and I know, I own one, and with Brembo max discs and Greenstuff pads, it definitely brakes very very good.)
