Rhys Millen and his Time Attack Hyundai Genesis Coupe tear up Brazil – Click above to watch video after the jump

Rhys Millen has packed up his passport, many sets of tires, a camera crew and his RMR-prepped Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Destination: Brazil.

More specifically, Millen has taken his 750 horsepower smoke monster to the Serra do Rio do Rastro mountain range. Located in southeastern Brazil and coated in some delectable tarmac, it's yet another photogenic location for the Genesis Coupe to practice burnt rubber calligraphy.

Of course, this won't the Millen's first hill climb. In 2009, he set the Pike's Peak 2WD Time Attack class record while issues with his PM850 hampered an attempt at true glory in the unlimited class. You can check Rhys and the RMR/Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe running the hills of Brazil after the jump. It's only a teaser clip, but it does it's job and will certainly leave you wanting more.

Still a great teaser tho, I'm not knocking it or anything.

Just saw the full vid intro about 20 seconds ago, and my jaw still hasn't regained it's strength... have you seen that road... Dang... that is so awesome, can't believe i was close to it on a visit there and didn't know it existed, even in a rented Sandero it would have been great fun... but i wonder how many times he would need to change tires on the way to the top...will comment some more after i see the rest of it...

By the way for Honda Fanboy, where's the all important NSX they promised us? their star is very close to extinguishing in motorsport if it hasn't supernova-ed with the cancellation of the new gen NSX

Looks like I have one more thing to look forward to this Thanksgiving!

definitly a teaser. anybody who drifts instead of using the direct line between two turns shouldnt be sitting in this (ugly) hyundai!

One thing America does well is Hype.
And as an American I, of course, eat it all up. :D

Hmm, so typically the rules are the drifting driving style is faster on dirt/gravel turns. Grip better for tarmac. But here in the videos it seems like very tight tarmac with some loose gravel perhaps? So is his drifting justified in making the fastest lap or is it just because that is the way he drives?
That is not the fastest way to drive. He is just having fun.

        a lot of fun.

Looks amazing. Can't wait to see full thing.

And yet Gran Turismo does not think any of Hyundai's cars made in the last 7 years are worthy of being included...but got to make sure we have the 98th worthless livery variant of that Civic!

@dropzonenet, true but the fact that they didnt, and considering how much GT5 carlist is a recycle of GT4 speaks volumes of how little effort is actually going into the game. Polyphony was on a smoke break for the past 5 years and just jumbled GT5 together as they did prologue, giving it an entire month rather than just an afternoon.

Maybe their decision to include certain Honda vehicles and leave out Hyundai vehicles has more to do with the fact that Honda has been popular with enthusiasts for far longer than Hyundai.

Only recently (within the last 5-10 years) have Hyundai's become anything more low-budget economy cars with no aftermarket following. With the exception of the Hyundai Tiburon/Genesis, name 3 other Hyundai's that anyone gives a crap about from an enthusiast/hobbyist/aftermarket standpoint. Doing so would definitely be a far stretch.

Rhys Millen, Ken Block and the likes are nothing but a few individuals who create internet buzz to OVERHYPED themselves by making stunt videos.

Maybe if you had 1/4 of the amount of car control skills that these guys have, you wouldn't be so insanely jealous. Unless you can do better, I suggest you shut your dirty mouth.
        And your point is?
his point is none of them drive a honda, then again no one drives a honda in Motorsports anymore. so if i was a "HondaFanboy" id be mad too.
