If you had thoughts of passing on Nissan's "Drive Electric Tour" and instead wanted to book some drive time once demo Leafs hit dealer lots, then maybe it's time to rethink your tactics. Why? Well, we've previously been told that individual dealers would received their stock of demo Leafs by the second week of December, but a report has surfaced suggesting otherwise. The Nissan-Leaf crew reached out to the automaker to confirm that dealer demos would arrive next month and received this unexpected reply:
In order to prioritize our first consumers, we have shifted back the delivery of our dealer demos. Consumers in all of our launch markets instead are getting the opportunity to test drive the Nissan LEAF on the Drive Electric Tour, which is targeting 50,000 test drives across America.
Customers come first. Yeah, that's fine by us, but if you've got a hankering to drive a Leaf, then you might want to reserve a spot when the tour comes to your neck of the woods.
