We have no details, only the what, when and where: Honda will be bringing a new electric vehicle concept and a plug-in hybrid platform to the LA Auto Show, and they will be revealed on Wednesday, November 17 at 1:20 p.m. PST. Other than asserting its intent to "demonstrate the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and its continued commitment to developing advanced environmental technologies," we haven't heard much of anything about where Honda is going with... well, anything.

We look forward to finding out if the concept is on the production-ready Leaf challenger side, or a full-on green concept in the Jaguar C-X75 vein. Or something in the middle, like an electric NSX. If you'd like to watch the reveal live, Honda will run a live webcast of the event at hondanews.com/live/2010-losangeles. Synchronize your watches... now.

Now that they have decided electric vehicles are viable, this thing is slapped together at the last minute, no doubt.

Is it just me or does Honda seem more and more disorganized as far as product and style direction? I think aimless is a good word for it...

The only pointless car I can think of is the CR-Z, but tuners seem to like it.

They do have a diverse styling direction, but I see that as a good thing. I hate how Mazda put that grin on cars that it doesn't work for, same with Ford and the massive chrome grilles, Chevrolet with the face that only looked good on the Malibu and Lincoln with the... ugliness.

At least with Honda you get the ugly styling of the new Accord, Pilot along with very different and sleek looks of the CR-Z and Odyssey. The cars all look distinguished, which probably isn't good for brand image, but is good for me.

Electric NSX-E would be cool if they do it right.

I'm sure it'll be a sporty all electric car, that goes 0-60 in 8 sec and has a 30 mile range. It's range is reduced because it's so sporty.

It's not going to be at the level of the jag electric with its turbines and whatnot. Honda has never produced a concept whose "real" equivalent would cost several hundreds of thousands. Its not going to compete with the jag or porsche 918 now. or even the new BMW intellibluemotion or whatever its called.

It's also not a tesla competitor. It doesn't have the balls to release even a normal ICE NSX..its not going to try and make it electric.

This car will probably be a commuter car at best..like an electric fit or something.
