If we were to show you all the vehicles that saw coverage here on Autoblog over the past three days from the 2010 SEMA Show, you'd be looking at 105 (seriously!) thumbnail images below. We aren't going to subject you to all of that... instead, here are some highlights and lowlights from Las Vegas. Most of what you see here represents what we'd consider the best of the bunch, and mostly for obvious reasons. Plus, we added a few machines down at the bottom that fall into the exact opposite bucket... but you're free to disagree with our assessment, of course, in the Comments below.

...SEMA is also the biggest convention in the world year after year. Four days is barely enough time to see everything.

SEMA is the biggest in the world event of professional DIYourselfers, IMO. There is fantastic stuff to see and a lot of eagliest vehicles as well. What I do love, is the soul of these guys, who are real endeavours! If automakers listen to them carefully, they will manufacture much more well-liked vehicles! That way we need SEMA. Long live SEMA!

this will make me sound like an idiot but here goes:

can you define ricer for me? i thought it was an all show no go untastfully custamised rust bucket. but apparently there is more to it then that; can you explane?

@cobrafreak: "Ricer" refers to a car from an Asian manufacturer that has been excessively and much too often distastefully modified aesthetically and mechanically. Key features are bad body kits, ridiculous wings, pointlessly large diameter exhausts and faux stick-on vents and intakes. "Ricer" refers to rice being a staple of Asian cuisines.

@Serge K.: Please see above description of the term 'ricer' as it does not apply to U.S.-made cars, especially muscle cars, off-road vehicles, SUVs or pick ups, of which there are many at SEMA. Those that are questionably modified or enhanced can merely be described as, 'mullet mobiles', 'redneck rides', 'pimped', or more generically,'cheesy' or ' fugly'
