Honda Accord Crosstour HFP Concept - Click above for high-res image gallery

We're still not very fond of the Honda Accord Crosstour's styling, but we'll be honest – this SEMA-spec HFP concept is pretty darn cool. Riding on 19-inch PDS-10 wheels wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN ST 245/50-series tires, this Crosstour benefits from a lowered sport suspension encompassing new shocks and struts at all four corners, performance front springs and a unique body kit.

Honda says that this modified Crosstour is only a concept, but we won't be shocked to see some of these factory performance parts show up on the crossover's spec sheet in the not-too-distant future. After all, if you're going to drive something as... unique as the Crosstour, why not give it an added dose of individuality? Check it out in our gallery of high-res shots below.

Looks like a modern version of a Saab 900

That's one badass looking wagon thing.

      Nope... still looks like sh!t.

Only way to make this look even better would be if they never made it at all.

At 36k the Crosstour are selling more cars than the Genesis , and the Genesis is
the best sedan about times. So Honda dont care so much about his look.

Umm, Genesis is a luxury vehicle. Luxury vehicles have lower volume of sales by nature, and it's in a completely different demographic than the Crossturd.

The Crosstour has been a disappointment if you want to talk sales. 2893 units sold the past month, 2500 the month before. They're going to miss the 40,000 target by a long shot. Contrast that to the year-over-year sales increase of the Genesis, and you can see that the Genesis is more successful than the Crosstour.

It pains me to admit this, but the gf actually likes the Crosstour.

I have been trying to come up with alternative vehicles for her to look at, but only a few other ones have caught her attention.

I really hope that Hyundai green-lights a wagon (or maybe a hatchback-ish) version of the Sonata or Kia Optima.

I realize these aren't all wagons, but just trying to help you out so you don't end up ever having to ride in a CrossTour: the Mini Countryman S would make a great girlfriend car when it comes out, as would the Land Rover Evoque. If you need something sooner, Audi A3, Ford Focus hatch, Mazda CX-7, Subaru Outback, Toyota Highlander, VW Jetta or Passat wagons, VW Golf, Volvo V50. Admittedly, most of these aren't as big as the CrossTour...

I appreciate the post, and I have already thought of most of those. Some I am more pushing than others - namely the Outback.

She's not really in the "car buying mode" yet which makes it impossible to get her to actually look at any of these vehicles in a dealership environment. I am trying to get her in the spirit by making her realize that you should be "car shopping" way before you actually NEED to buy a car. Be prepared... what happens if her current car dies tomorrow (and is too costly to repair), or gets totaled or stolen? She'll have no idea what to get and then actually rush frantically to buy a car, and end up with a Crosstour.
        Oh well.

If you put your finger to cover the front end it looks just like a Panamera!
        Lol, good observation!
No way... WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN?!?!?!
      Hmm...

It's ugly in a good looking way... or is it good looking in an ugly way?
The crosstour only looks good from certain angles. But its side profile is HORRIFIC.
And what's the point of adding all this stuff on a car without adding more power?

No better looking than the Panamera, but I still love it.

Honda is spending a lot of time and effort tarting up econoboxes when it should invest all that into a real sporty car instead.

Nothing hides unattractive styling like monochrome black, but here's proof that paint can't fix everything.
