Dodge Charger Redline concept – Click above for high-res image gallery

Among Chrysler's homage to the storied past at this year's SEMA Show is this 2011 Dodge Charger Redline Concept – the Charger that Mopar Underground would build if it could. The crimson four-door sits an inch lower to the ground over 22-inch Super Alloy wheels, all the better to keep your eyes on the black roof. Other trim pieces include the black spoilers fore and aft, tinted head- and taillights and a black side scoop to take you back to the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Under the aluminum hood is a 5.7-liter Hemi wearing Mopar headers, as well as a cold-air intake and exhaust. Come shimmy and shake time, things are kept in better check by a Mopar strut tower brace. A black and red interior fills out the theme, aluminum bezels and Katzkin leather keeping it swish and prototype paddle shifters keep it truly conceptual. Check out the Redline Charger in the gallery of high-res photos below.

I don't understand all the hate. Maybe because it is in red (Still good looking imo) ?

I want every person who isn't liking this car to imagine it in Black. Now tell me what you think!!!

WHERE ARE THE HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS? If the folks over at Dodge want a true charger IT MUST HAVE THE SIGNATURE DODGE CHARGER HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS. They tried to copy most of the other styling cues of the classic 68' to 70 Charger body but forgot the single most important feature - the cool hidden headlights! They copied the Challenger front end treatment when they brought that model back -and it really makes the car what it is. The new Charger would get the same overwhelming response with the Public if they just brought back that aggressive kick ass black grill! DODGE DESIGN TEAM - PLEASE WAKE UP!!!

It is horrible. What happened to the great side profile, that nice aggression the old one had? Now the back 3/4s looks like a mitsubishi galant.

Chrysler is in trouble if this is what our billions paid for, they should have gone under.

No manual just puts the final nail in the coffin for me.

      Looks great except...............................

      Automatic........now I'm just disappointed

I have to agree. I wouldn't give this car (or most others) a second look if an auto-box is the only option.

Expectations of 4 Door Coolness = FAIL.

Love the rear spoiler and the new SRT steering wheel. Not a huge fan of the wheels though...I think aluminum 5-spokes would look better. Just my opinion...

I think this is a good looking car but I'm not liking the vent in the door. Take that off and this becomes a great looking car!

Is their such thing as a new generation manual tranny Charger?
I have to say, I think that car is pretty hot.
It looks more like the last Charger than a Mustang IMO.
Dumb door vent thing ruins the entire profile. Looks like it broke in half.

Dodge couldnt be original with the Redline Concept. They had to go all "Mustang-designed" look to it.
