2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon commercial – Click above to watch the video after the jump

The 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon will be new to America's sliver of luxury wagon buyers, but the fact is that it's little more than a rebadged European Honda Accord estate with a bit more pizazz in the interior. But hey, who cares? The TSX may well be the best-looking Acura, and now it comes with more room for our stuff.

Team Honda is getting ready to launch the new wagon with a :30 second commercial that shows some Autobot-like shape-shifting CGI. The video shows the front-wheel-drive TSX sedan drifting through a hot corner, and as it swings into opposite lock, the body panels of the sedan strip away, only for the car to be reconstituted into something a bit more capacious. The animation is more Wallace and Gromit than Transformers, but the idea behind the spot is clear; the newest TSX may be a wagon, but its soul is still 100-percent sports sedan. Hit the jump to watch the video for yourself. Hot tip, Arthur!

This car is engineered to fail. Why Honda is using the smallest engine and no awd is no longer in question - Honda just doesn't "get" it.

Is that really something to brag about?

While I love wagons and hatches, this thing just doesn't cut it with a 4 cyl. and automatic. There's nothing sporty about that.

Dont know about you guys, but something sounds extremely strange in the phrase "sports wagon"... and since when was TSX a sports car?
Should have started with the TL and ended with a Coupe rwd. (keeping the V6)

The car comes with an ancient 5 speed automatic...I hope its not similar to the biodegradable ones Honda had in the early 2000's. Should have waiting for the next Euro Accord refresh before re-badging it. Do any "luxury" cars come with a 5 speed automatic anymore?

Want so bad! Live in Canada. Screwed by Honda(Acura). The only resonably priced wagon we get is a VW.

If you don't need the cargo space, why bother with the wagon?
Sorry, that got misplaced. It was in reference to the suspension intruding into the cargo space.

Love this car, but I STILL can't get past that beak in the front..

Are there any decent aftermarket grilles for the TSX yet?
Painting them body color REALLY helps.

The local Acura dealer here (Pohanka) has offered a few with a painted grill and I think it looks a million times better.

A lot of the guys on Acurazine do it as well, completely transforms the front end.

Thanks for directing me to Acurazine, lots of nice modded cars there. This car looks great with the Mugen grille

I painted mine and it looks fantastic, no need to resort to aftermarket.

They make a sports car? Did you see those front wheels just spinning around trying to get traction while those deadweight rears sat still. funny ad.

      -> Still fail without a M/T...

Love the TSX sedan and will also love the Wagon. I can't wait to see some with coilovers and some bad ass wheels.
