Lancia Stratos testing teaser – Click above to watch the video after the jump

We'll admit it: The New Lancia Stratos project gets us all hot and bothered. This special Ferrari F430-based one-off will make its official debut sometime next month, and the pre-reveal teasers are continuing to pour in.

This time around, we see the Stratos revival team working with former Formula 1 driver Tiago Monteiro to fine-tune the chassis out on Italy's Balocco test track. The Stratos' body is constructed out of carbon fiber and with its slim-and-trim curb weight and 50:50 weight distribution, we have no doubts that it will be an absolute hoot out on the track.

See the latest teaser video for yourself, after the jump, and stay tuned for the full Stratos details next month.

Anyone that has said anything negative about this car has proved how little they know about cars. It is the perfect successor to the original and it looks EXACTLY how it should. Bite-sized, beautiful and brutal. The perfect lancia !!! (now bring back the delta integrale'!!!)

This is a BAD A** Ride! I loved seeing it come around that corner and get on the gas.

I've figured out what I don't like about it. Not enough sidewall in the tires. I think I'd like it if I didn't keep trying to make it the old one.

Tiago is an out-of-the-ordinary driver: it's amazing and a pleasure to see him do this: kudos to everyone involved. Historic stuff.

I would give my right testicle to be a professional test pilot! I am sure that driver NEVER wakes-up in the morning saying...."not a other crappy day at work" I feel like crying.

Hopefully Fiat decides to put this Stratos into Production and reimburse the VCs on this. I can imagine a baby Ferrari Dino to share the development costs based of an older F430. Hell give it a MultiJet V6 Twin Turbo to get it into the Porsche 911/Lotus Elan territory... with a Ferrari 355 price tag of ~$120k nicely loaded, and maybe an entry price point at $100k for a bare basic v6 version.

Make a Business Case and Ferrari/Lancia/Fiat might do it!

honestly i wouldn't say its AMAZINGLY beautifull its kinda like a 90's early 2000's kinda car hm unsure rlly i mean if i was offered 1 for extremely cheap i wouldn't think twice i would buy it but if its at like 25'000$+ i don't think i would i mean the new generation Mustang is smokin hot and its less money or i could get a old-ish (4 years maybe a lil less) A5 but all in all i think this car looks OK
