Audi Quattro Concept – Click above for video after the jump

Audi unleashed its Quattro Concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, but the automaker isn't done sharing with us just yet. We now have a short new video clip of the Quattro, and we can't stop staring. There are so many questions that will most likely go unanswered. What's it like to drive? How much would a production version cost? Does Audi accept our stolen totally legit American Express card? You know it's been at least several minutes since you last ogled the Quattro, so get your fix by watching the this new video. If that's not enough, we also have a longer cut that ditches the annoying background music. Both are posted after the jump.

I love the look of the rear end on this car. The gaping mouth needs to die. I understand it's part of their design language at the moment, but it's way ugly on this car and it's detracting from the overall design. It's one of the few retro cars that doesn't look like it's wearing a huge fat suit, and I like that.

I guess Im the minority but I am not a fan of this at all.
Looks like 4 designers each got a section.

The front end doesnt relate to ANYTHING. Also, its way too angular.
I guess they had to go with the new look Audi theme in the front but the new rear theme doesnt matter I guess.

The wheels are too big which makes everything too tall and high.
The front bumper area is huge and the overhangs are too long.

Its weird to have shapely shoulders like the A5 with those C pillars. Just not going well together.

Section a few inches off and it would look better.

all audis have got to have that sexy front end from here on out

This is my current favourite car. What a beauty!
I’ve been a big time Audi fan since I bought my A3 Sportback 2.0T
      around a year back.

Now if only Audi produces this car I would probably work extra
weekend shifts to purchase this car!

      I want this... so bad...
you know what? amidst of all the lambo concepts(which looks messy IMO,not bad ..could be better) jaguar concepts and all the headlining cars of the paris motor show, this is BY FAR my favourite..

audi, please build..and DONT change it in anyway..its perfection..

I AGREE - PERFECTION! 1000lbs lighter than RS5. Aluminum frame clad with carbon fiber panels, 5 cyl turbocharger, Dual clutch tranny, and quote 0-62 time of 3.9 sec or roughly 0-60 in around 3.7 sec .. I'd live in my car to drive this beaut!

It would be a dream if they returned back to rally with a variant of this, and dominate it like they are doing in Le mans.

Rupert Stadler would be a champion

If this is meant to be a variant in the S5's lineup, I don't think it's going to compete in the WRC. I do, however, see Audi trying to dominate Pikes Peak once again and taking the overall Unlimited Class crown from Suzuki with this car.

mmmm...Audi with a hint of qwerky. Like it. Love it. Gotta Have it!
oh you gotta laugh at some of these people, 45k? please more like 145k
        • 4 Years Ago
$45k??? That would get you probably half the car or a car without an engine and drivetrain. This car is an RS5 on crack. Faster, lighter, higher end components, and exclusive. Probably at least $30k+ more than an RS5 which itself will be $70k when it hits US shores.

With all of the lightweight technology in the car (aluminum Audi space-frame, and carbon fiber (2866 lbs total weight), Full LED headlamps, power to weight ratio of an Audi R8 5.2 V10 @ 9.48 lbs/bhp, 0-60 in the mid to high 3's, it just can't be cheap.

I doubt Audi will build it but *if* they did, expect it to be a very expensive model for select enthusiasts - in the same way the short wheel base Ur-Quattro was in it's day. It's definitely not made for the masses ( like myself and most people out there )

Looks like an EVO X. Thats not a bad thin...
My thoughts exactly. If they build it, it'd probably in that spot of $52-60k to fight the M3/C63 et al. I don't know. S4 runs around $47-52kish right? God I hope they build this thing.
I don't know about quirky. I see simple but elegantly attractive lines. Audi should build this.
Considering that the S4 start at 45k, I wouldn't be surprised if they priced this near the m3 coupe @ 60k.
I would spend 45k on this.
I'm kinda loving this look for an eventual A5/S5 replacement.
I think you're right Chips. For some reason I didn't even think about it being a TT replacement but now that you mention it, it's the only way.
IMHO, it looks too much like a compact for it to be an aesthetic replacement for the A5/S5. Whereas the A5/S5 is supposed to be a coupe, this looks more like a hatch.

        TT replacement, yes.
        A5/S5 replacement, no.

Ummm...Mitsubishi called. The Evo wants its front end back.
