BMW 6 Series Coupe Concept rendered inside and out – Click above to watch video after the jump

The BMW 6 Series Coupe Concept appears to have separated the audience into camps called "OMG BMW what have you done?" and "OMG BMW is back!" If there are any of you left on the fence looking for a closer look before you sign up to one of those clubs, here are high-definition renderings of the concept without and within.

Of course, they're still renderings so you can reserve final final judgement, but you'll see how the exterior light elements work and get clues to interior details. We're digging that glass roof in all kinds of ways. Follow the jump for the close-ups, and stay tuned for live coverage straight from the Paris Motor Show. Hat tip to Rob!

Um, when you said "rendered for your pleasure" who exactly did you think was going to be pleased?

There is just something that I don't like about the shark-like front end. I haven't put my finger on it, but I know that I don't like something about it.

I agree, but the interior looks good.

After the ED concept, I was really hoping that would be the direction for the new 6.

      Does not look unique

Actually looks a lot like the last gen M3 that was made bigger

Was about to say the same thing.......they look all the same to me, just bigger.

There are only two camps, and they can be geographically separated. When I say two camps, I mean Bangle and anti-Bangle camp, and when I say they can be geographically separated, I mean Americans are pro-Bangle, and rest of the world is anti-Bangle. BMW gained a huge market with Chris Bangle, but in the process BMW lost its market in rest of the world. I am guessing now BMW is going to focus on rest of the world as the American economy is down. I do not want to say that Americans appreciate things that are ugly, just simply different from rest of the world.

Are those air deflectors incorporated in the lower grille? If so, give me a break! "Cough".....458 Italia. I like the headlights......maybe it will grow on me! Nothing spectacular.

The views from the side and rear look great. The headlights and grill leave something to be desired. Build this, Bimmer!!

Have you noticed the ad BMW has been running recently? Most of the tv spot shows old, (fun) smaller BMWs racing... It appears (to me) that BMW is trying to convince the public that BMWs are still fun... But the new BMWs are a reminder (to me) of the fading "glory days" of the 1960s when big, fat, gas-guzzling Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Buicks, Fords and Chevys started to lose their appeal.

It seems that so many of the new cars -- like this six series from BMW -- look like giant jelly beans. The recent "new" designs keep getting bigger and uglier, and less distinguishable.

Back in 1983 the "boring-car" trend was reversed by VW -- with the introduction of the GTI. They introduced a quick little car that set the stage for the comeback of driving fun... something BMW lost long ago. (IMHO)

I think it's kinda good looking but I don't like how last BMWs look practically the same, especially interior. At least during Bangle era every BMW was original.

Um, when you said "rendered for your pleasure," who exactly did you think was going to be pleased with this?

looks like a coupe version of the new 5 series. the engine options better be really amazing or its not worth it.
